"In the first paragraph, we learn that there were “attacks.” In the second paragraph, we learn that the attacks were carried out by “armed herdsmen.” In the fourth paragraph, we find that the herdsmen are “mostly Muslims,” while the victims are “predominantly Christians.” Never in this story do we learn that Nigerian Church leaders have characterized the attacks by Fulani herdsmen as a war “by Islam to eliminate Christianity” in Nigeria."

I heard about these latest murders via France24, which said the Muslims were "forced" by "climate change" to slaughter Christians. I checked the website, but could not find the same text to link, they have only this article: "Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday called for calm after 86 people were killed in an attack by suspected nomadic herders against farming communities in the restive centre of the country... The violence fuelled by ethnic, religious and political allegiances has killed thousands over several decades. Analysts believe it could become Nigeria's biggest security concern, eclipsing Boko Haram's Islamist insurgency that has left at least 20,000 dead since 2009... Buhari has been accused of failing to act as he is also Muslim and Fulani." IOW, keep calm and continue upholding Islam. When I use a search engine and include the specific words that I heard, this article pops up, even though it does not contain the same words; I suspect France24 may have edited it.
