Women have their own leagues so as to allow them a chance for competition. Different game, different rules.
mell saysI don't know how many matches of John McEnroe I watched where he lost points or games for misbehaving
How about never?

Looks like he was thrown out of the Australian open once for repeatedly assholish behavior, but otherwise most of his penalties were fines. And his tirades were profane enough to make a sailor blush.
Meanwhile, Serena was penalized a point, then a game, and then 17,000 clams for calling the judge a 'thief'. Really, that's all she could come up with? The only thing Serena screwed up was her insult to the judge.. if you're gonna go there, might as well let the judge really have it.
You'd better believe there's a double standard. Yes, they're all cogs ...

Give your race baiting shit a rest will ya?!

Oh, cool, can you show me in the tennis rulebook how they're different, other than women playing 3 sets and men playing 5 in the 4 Grand slams?
Funny, that exact link is in my reply, 5 messages above yours. Did you take a moment to read the article?
Of course I did, I just don't think you took the time to read it the way you're carrying on about double standards and other various Liberal tears horse shit.
I call out someone who compared Serena Williams to an angry monkey, and I'm the one race baiting? Sure, dude.
Any more 3rd grade questions?
CBOEtrader saysAny more 3rd grade questions?
Yeah, any other rules? Does that make it a different game? Because that was your 3rd grade assertion.
We are all now stupider for having discussed ghetto tennis player behavior.

Well done--the insertion of ghetto, while not very subtle, is top notch.
She isn’t acting classy, that’s very ghetto to start settling disputes like it’s Jerry Springer drama.
Class is something left doesn’t get.
Behavioral penalties are enforced differently in different leagues, for sure. The womens' tennis tour will have different interpretations than the men's and certainly different than men 40 years ago.
We share 90% dna with our primate ancestors.
Oh yeah--they never were.
Maybe they never behaved like serena last week.
Threatening to ruin a judge's career for calling an obvious coaching violation followed by a childish outburst, followed by accusing everyone of being racist/sexist. Yeah "I dindo nuttin, y'all racist" in the face of overwhelming guilt is ghetto af.

Oh no--they behaved much, much worse.
Hell, Rafi Nadal told the SAME referee that he would make sure he never worked another match again. No penalty, of course.
Maybe you can show me all the times Nadal was called ghetto? I'll be waiting with bated breath.
No one knows who the fuck that guy is. What are you waiting for equal outcomes across generations now? Most childish liberal idea I’ve seen. As childish and ghetto as Williams behavior.

Nobody knows who the fuck Rafael Nadal is? Are you kidding me?
If you don't know who he is then you most definitely shouldn't be commenting on anything tennis related.
I don’t know who the fuck he is.
But next time you get pulled over for speeding tell the cop that they are not treating you same as others. Let us know how that works out.
I ain’t bailing you out. Call a lawyer.
She was already warned, then, she got docked a point.

Like I said--you really shouldn't be commenting on something you clearly know nothing about.
We're not talking about breaking the law here so the analogy is weak.

Was she? I never heard the umpire warn her.

And that perfectly sums up Serena's issue with how she was treated...

The ump did nothing wrong and took a long long time to finally put her in her place.Exactly right. Serena just couldn't let it go. She kept on him relentlessly, so he finally shut her down after taking repeated abuse.
The "coaching" was the warning, on the next penalty, she's automatically docked a point. Breaking a racket is not something the judge is at liberty to ignore. It's an automatic point. She was angry because, in her mind, she shouldn't have got the warning in the first place. After that, she continually continued her tirade. The next penalty was earned over time. The ump did nothing wrong and took a long long time to finally put her in her place.

No the coaching was the first code violation. The racket abuse violation was automatic, I agree.
Where the ump was wrong was not giving a warning to Serena that she needs to stop arguing and go play. If not, she will get another code violation and game penalty.

But that's not the point anyway--the hilarious part is how all the closet racists get off on this. How many times the word ghetto has been thrown around on this thread. Pictures of monkeys, etc.Black herring argument
Pictures of monkeys,Approaching the third rail, why do you think racists compare blacks to apes or monkeys? The same isn't done for other targets of racists, for example, other colored people like Asians, Indians, etc.
