I'd ask what benefit is there to Kavanaugh lying? Put the accuser aside. He could just say fuck this and go be a big $ attorney for some corp. Way more money to be made there over the Supreme Court spot. Probably less stress too knowing if/when you resign or die there's going to be a lot of drama around it, so you may have to work longer into your life then you would want to.
