Between Google and even more so Yahoo... they keep releasing things like this then pulling the plug, usually after it limps along for a few years. Then they wonder why the users don't want to invest time and effort in a new profile on every new thing they push out. There was that Google photo service that was linked to Google Earth (and maps?) then they declared it was "going away" now they have a new photo service instead. Yahoo is even worse. 360 was an under-functional system that scared normal people away; I found my stepdaughter (12+ years ago when she was a minor and I watched her online activity) friending literal self-proclaimed pedophiles.
It's like they have money to throw away and run whole websites/platforms at a loss while half-assing them the whole time, then get rid of the system and dump the users like a tinder date. Hard to relate to this as a small B&M businessman!

Isn't that Big Tech's entire business model? Stumble into one giant revenue stream and then use it to finance a metric fuckton of other chickenshit projects in the hopes that a couple of them catch on...
I didn't know they had 500,000 "users".
