If they really are so damn scared of a Trump presidency, then they should have considered that during the convention. The entire purpose of those super delegates was to ensure that the party base did not cost the Democrats the White House in the general election. They failed and they have no one to blame but themselves.

The Democrats lost because the DNC thought they could count on votes because the alternative was unthinkable. They were wrong. Voters don't think. They feel. The unthinkable can easily happen. So the DNC needs to start thinking about the consequences of relying on the other side being too scary. They lost all three branches of government, and the damage Trump is doing right now will last far longer than his presidency, so the Democratic Party needs to reform or die.

The right to keep and bear arms is a protected right. There is no such right for people to use drugs other than alcohol. While I agree that the war on drugs is stupid, I also believe in upholding the rule of law. The people in prison for drugs simply chose to not follow the law.

Had the FBI simply upheld the rule of law, Clinton would have been going to trial for her crimes about mishandling classified materials during the 2016 elections. Intent to break the law is not required to get a conviction. Had she been on trial fighting a conviction, Bernie would have beaten Trump. The DNC beat themselves.

Now the DNC gets to watch the balance of the power swing more to the RNC in the 2018 elections while Trump nominates more judges. If Ginsburg decides to retire or she dies, Trump will push through another conservative onto the SCOTUS. I welcome this because it will hopefully safe guard the current status of the 2nd Amendment. I would like to see all state gun control declared unconstitutional but this is a long shot and just keeping what I have may be the best that I can hope for.

Exactly! The 2016 election was not a story about people choosing Trump in droves. It was a story about low voter turnout. The candidates were too weak to inspire people to vote. Especially Clinton, who had more baggage than TWA. However, I suspect 2020 to have bigger turnout for Trump among alienated classical liberals if the DNC keeps courting and promoting the lunatic fringe.

Keep a very close eye on results from places with or without voter ID laws. I suspect there will be large amounts of fraud where there is poor validation and security of election processes. Think critically about arguments made by those who insist, against evidence, that voter ID laws lock out legal voters.
