This looks like the author did a cut and paste from a NASA Scientist in 2007. That man also said we were at a "point of no return," and the Arctic would be "ice free" by 2013.

Lol the peasants have to eat shit while the elites get to dictate how we live.. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!

Went to the tide pools the other week, I can verifiably say the ocean hasn't gone up one fucking inch.

"Just give us the money or we will make the little girl cry again"

If not true, this would be funny. Why should kids even try if they are told over and over that they have no future?

Please read Dave Collum (a PhD chemits, and a very intelligent one) about Global Warming. https://www.peakprosperity.com/2019-year-in-review-part-1/

Article is mostly globally focused. But if I were in charge, I would impose a minimum 100% tariff on imported autos and auto parts. That would keep US factories open and expanding.

"Christianity Today was founded in 1956, and its current impact in the evangelical community is limited, said Greg Carey, a New Testament professor at Lancaster Seminary in Pennsylvania."

That quote from the article shows how desperate this publication is to stay relevant.

The wrong ones? Like Saudi Arabia?

Uh no, she's I believe the only candidate ever to call the Saudis out on their murderous Islamic ways.

She’s about to drop out of politics, good riddance, she certainly never posed any threat to corporate fascists.

we all know that in the diseased mind of Democratic party, the only threat to corporate fascists is Hillary, who is on payroll of Goldman Sachs, who are by no means embodiment of all that is wrong with banking and is by no means a "vampire squid"

Which of the dem candidates you think are best? and why?

Is talking to someone to resolve the issues is wrong? Don't you think syrians want to live in syria instead of US and russia bombing them and they have to flee their homes.

One more time, is this the year ... 1985? Donald Trump's personality is a known entity for at least 3+ decades.

I just turned 40 this past year and I've been hearing that this guy was a douche & sleazebag, my whole life.

And as for Jesus comparisons, last I'd checked, he was a non-union contractor in Judea, not a sleazy real estate developer and reality show host. So why the comparisons?

Here's the problem, according to mainstream Christian beliefs, all ppl are born of sin and thus, Trump is no different than anyone else (but a bit on the extreme as far as pride and avarice goes). The idea is that Trump can be a total slime ball but if he repents and accepts Jesus on his death bed (since he's going to die anyways), he's "saved". That's just the fact of the religion. The notion of karma (with reincarnation) doesn't exist because divine grace can alleviate anyone of one's sins and then, one can ascend after his mortal coil expires.

To be fair, 89 billion liters is not much water.

Seriously, it's just a pond, really.

1 billion liters of water = 10^(9-3) m^3 liters of water = 10^6 m^3 of water. 1 billion liters of water is a body of water 100 m by 100 m by 100 m, or roughly 330 m by 330 m by 10 m. So, 1 billion liters of water is a small lake.
107670   mell   2019 Dec 29, 9:56pm

It's 2 years old or so but goes to show you that leftoids already went fully retard right in 2016 when Trump got elected. Not that they haven't been on that course for a while but the 2016 election accelerated that process dramatically.
107671   Patrick   2019 Dec 29, 9:59pm

They're also bottling the water then reselling to the locals at a huge markup. It's called a bust out. Get a country into debt, introduce a plan through the IMF, then start selling off their natural resources to the highest bidder. Been doing it in Africa and South America for decades.

Iraq, the country we destroyed and dumped our nuclear waste in. Well I'm sure we can believe any Iran-backed movement purported to come out of that country is completely legit and not another psyops excuse for use to attack Iran.

The Trump Tax Cuts got us exactly the same GDP growth rate trend we’ve had for decades:

Appreciate the graphs. What do you think the solution is? This is one of the issues I've had with Trump. The "solutions" in the Dem. party right now are only going to worsen the trend. The candidates are absolute shit and everyone knows it, so people just keep attacking Trump instead of focusing on stuff like this.
107680   mell   2019 Dec 31, 2:26pm

These Fred graphs aren't very useful. Obviously the growth has been prolonged already by 2 years and UE is at historic lows while wage increases for the lower income folks have accelerated. Prior recessions happened every 8 years roughly. So graph 1 actually speaks for Trump. It's true that ZIRP and deficit spending by itself doesn't help but that's not the only actions that were taken. Overall Trump has outdone his predecessors significantly.

True, nobody President since Reagan has been associated with that kind of increasing debt in a time of supposedly awesome economic growth. But it was much different then, at least there was room for interest rates to drop steadily for a couple decades but we didn't know that - so I considered and still consider the epic debt binge that Reagan started to be a huge mistake - and what history will probably show as one of the biggest causes of our current problems.
