My fist computer in 1996, I got from a Business Computer and Terminal surplus company I did a tile job for. It was an AT&T Globalist TCP manufactured by NEC computers. It featured a Roadrunner Telephony board, one of the first modem, sound cards with full duplex speaker phone. It came with a 400 page manual, that went over every element on the Hardware, from the Tower, power supply, to the motherboard. Every Jumper every dip switch, to every chip on the board. They taught you how to set your hard drives for Master and Slave use, how to clock your Processor for upgrades, how to upgrade memory with parity.
If you knew absolutely nothing about computers like I did, you were an A+ bench tech if you read that whole manual. I was working at the surplus computer company rebuilding computers three months later, after I got that computer.
The box also came with the original big blue Windows 95 Bible, and the full Dos 6.0 documentation.

No other computer I bought in the years following, was as complete as that computer was. It was the best buying experience I have ever had. The unboxing, and the constant discovery for months and months afterward just kept giving. True, but most see the computer as a tool an not a hobby. For example, a movie maker just wants to create using Premiere, and is not interested in any other aspect of the system. Nothing wrong with the hobby approach, if that is what you like. In fact, I think many kids today are missing out of the "Heathkit" experience, where you actually build piece by piece a radio, TV, computer, etc., while understanding every component.

I quit building machines. Not worth my time anymore. Then again I may pick up a pi and flip that scenario.

No, it was funded by ours.

That's why there was no real investigation and an immediate coverup. Everybody in the Bush administration was part of it.

That seems less likely to me than purely Saudi funding and organization.

The attack killed many of those same elites, like most of the staff of Cantor Fitzgerald in the WTC, 658 of its 960 New York employees.
