Haha!

I give zero shits about the price. I have opinions on what it is and where it could go. I've not given dates and therefore haven't been wrong. Only time was a price that could trigger it lower and that's all you mention. Almost every single one of your comments is about someone else. Move on dude. Super childish. You haven't sold (or own) any BTC and just attack other users. You haven't made a penny. It's laughable really.

Nah. I invest in my business, assets and family that are outperforming BTC. Sorry, too many accounts to screen shot and am not dumb enough to dox myself. You wouldn't understand. It's almost like you guys don't understand that you can make money other ways? Lots of money.

It's fine if you want BTC/crypto to be your niche, but it's a strange hill to die on and not diversify. You can make more other ways. Tax free too ;). But keep chasing the get rich quick scheme. I honestly hope you guys make a fuck ton of money. I'm sincerely not being condescending or sarcastic. I've said it before on this forum, I want everyone to make money. At the end of the day someone will have to lose some though. I just hope it's not you guys.

Quote where I said 6 figure gains in one single investment. I hold more than just LUV buddy. lol. That comment was a poke at you being excited at a childish gain from BTC. Basically you're like the 8 year old that got $5 from a sidewalk lemonade sale.

Nah, just smarter than you. Work smarter not harder. Never have said the wife makes more than me either buddy. Just said she makes a lot. My marriage is a better investment by a long shot than BTC. Financially and in happiness. Enjoy your right hand and spreadsheets though. lol.

Huh? I don't log off.

Reason I have 6 ignores is people are too soft to hear differing opinions, and not back up there own by answering honest questions. They run from them. "Meh all time highs, ahhhhhhh." Good answer. The fact is Crypto junkies cannot answer the questions. Resort to name calling because they don't understand what they're doing. Every naysayer here has always said you can make money. But some get insecure when someone questions that there could be potential loses, with legitimate points on the flaws of crypto. Why is that?

We dont need traditional banks anymore. Bitcoin is leading the bank chart (market capitalization). Bitcoin is your own private bank.

G36 says

Exactly... FDIC insured accounts are so out of style for all but 1% of the population. Just dump them and get into BTC. Never look back. No risk of loss at all. Probably the best strategy I've heard on Patnet. Super logical.

I can see it tomorrow. The millionaires and billionaires close all their insured bank accounts tomorrow and dump it all into BTC just because. It's going to be amazing.
114   Bitcoin   2020 Dec 25, 4:28pm

The big news here is the market cap of BTC is above the market caps of banks. BTC is a private bank but that doesnt mean we get rid of traditional banks tomorrow. It means, BTC as a store of value, serves you better in holding your funds in BTC versus leaving FIAT sitting in the bank.
BTW., the BTC on your hardware wallet doesnt need FDIC insurance....nobody can seize it.

I'd not enter this thread dude. You're dealing with someone that doesn't know what they doing or what they're buying and are having dumb luck right now (good for him). Everyone gets it once in a while. You'll get some response about a hardware wallet in a safe, with the keys in a safe deposit box in LA and an encrypted email with the key sent to your brother in Dallas.

I'll never get these crypto people. The tout it as the only thing going. I don't know, start a business. Innovate. Create something. You can make substantially more money that way than gambling, even if you do win. Oh well, they'll never get it. Crypto pumping... until the whales decide where the price goes and these pumpers are left holding the bag.

Oh really?

Yep, If you have your crypto on a hardware wallet/cold storage, you are in control of your private keys. Nobody can freeze, seize or access the wallet without physically possess the wallet AND the private keys. If you get raided, make sure the wallets are hidden well or private keys are at a different location.

Good for you. Seriously. Not the way I make money, but whatever. I'll make your account total over 2 months and your gain in a month, so I'm happy for you, but not overly impressed. Hence the 6 figure comment.

The bottom will fall out like it did December 2017 after the xmas family sell/pump like we're seeing now. It will make its way to $8k at some point, but I was wrong with year end. You got me. Thankfully I'm extremely secure in my position in life and don't have to worry about something I cannot control like spreadsheets. I've always said I wish you luck, but you always get so defensive. What you've made in two months is what we make in a month. With minimal work and it's usually just wine and dine work, although much less now with Covid. But the money keeps flowing.

I'll convert you at some point. I'm in the Christmas spirit and am trying to be less combative. You can make much more money doing other things. You'll learn eventually. Hopefully not the hard way.

You sound like the doom and gloomers that tell us every year the sky is falling.

You are the typical internet troll that has to tell everyone multiple times how well you are off and then buys 100 shares of LUV. At the same time you keep posting on Bitcoin threads but dont own a single satoshi :) You sound jealous and very insecure. Why else would you HAVE to tell us some many times how well you are doing? I've never met a rich guy who HAS to tell you that multiple times.

I've made money off investments, but I've never claimed to make 70% month over month. I make money off of my business as income and assets. The screenshots we see are fake, but assume they're real. A 2 month gain of $20-30k is what I actually make in a month. And no, that's not rich. It's a big fat nothing burger. My business is mostly passive income, so it's no different then fucking around in Crypto, except I have assets and value behind it if shit hits the fan.

I'd guess most everyone here has had a 2 month percentage gain on a stock like we've seen with BTC the last two months. None of that matters if you don't realize the gain. He hasn't. Start playing with house money and invest and diversify in other things. G talks about nothing else because there is nothing else and there was no purchase of BTC. I won't dox myself any more on this site as I specifically don't trust people like him. And I'm not stupid. No one has to believe me, it won't keep me awake at night. I'm just sick of dangerous "investment" advice.

It's trading and it's one of the riskiest and most volatile platforms out there. To spout off like it's some sure thing is dangerous. It's why Onvacation always mentions the greater fool. It's true. If he's not lying and wants to prove it (I'm not asking for this) post a picture of a bank account with the URL in it at the top. Date and time included. Or a bank statement with private info redacted. This won't happen because people can verify letter heads and statement layout, fonts, etc. That's why the screen shots we get are these grainy, small screen shots that contain just a number and symbol. It's stupid.

Also factor in history here. He was wrong for 3 years and just now is getting above all time highs from then. Even today from Dec. 2017 it's a hysterically low gain over that time period. That's 3 years of dead cash while others were making money in one of the best stock market periods of all time. One of the best business environments. His cash just sat there making nothing for 3 years. I think anyone would be frustrated as he said he holds and doesn't sell. He has an investment dogma and it has failed compared to other things he could have done with the cash, so he is super defensive. Gets rid of an old username and creates a new one when the narrative doesn't make him look like an ass.

Not really. $250-320k is pretty normal upper middle class. The 1% is a very statistically bad metric to compare anything to. There are people that are insanely wealthy that probably draw $50k of income a year, sometimes nothing if they've amassed huge wealth. My old boss could spend like a mother fucker, but only would show income of $80k between his wife and him. Between savings and using business as a spending vehicle, you can show very little income. It's why Trump never wanted to show his taxes. The regular W-2 employee doesn't understand it.

I figured the demographic here that's doing the programming/coding/tech stuff is pulling in $120-180k as an individual though? And at least $200-250k as a family if married. Otherwise, why are some living in CA? I don't know. Most people I hang out with are pulling in $200k/yr as a family. I mean I know a couple that are Chicago cops ~37 years old, salary is public record and they're pulling in about $190k. That's for a cop family.

Compare Dec. 2017 BTC prices to todays price. I'm talking a 3 year period as G likes to say BTC has gain 9,000,000% based on the beginning value when a few dudes held and were concocting this BTC scheme. So from Dec. 2017 to today for BTC, there are plenty of other assets that beat BTC. He thinks I'm a gold bug and I'm not. I'm not invested in any metals unless it's somehow in my retirement funds I set and forget. As an investment, not trading, that you hold and get ZERO dividends, it was dead money for 3 years. There's no disputing that.

If you're one of the couple hundred people that knows you have bitcoin from the beginning, it's highly unlikely you hold it or even know where it is anymore or have sold it and are insanely rich. The vast majority, almost everyone is holding BTC once it became fashionable in 2017. If they traded, sure the last 3 years had tons of potential gains. G is pushing holding it long term. That's bad advice, now that it's no longer $100. That's been my point, but some don't get it.

I understand the appeal of having some form of money that cannot be inflated by the Fed or seized if someone sues you.

But also, it gives ordinary people who have no power a kind of hope of escaping a system which otherwise has them thoroughly trapped. It has aspects of religion in that way. A kind of hope for salvation.
