Wookie, Lets just say I am not impressed with your 100 shares of LUV either (5k value). ;)

"The bottom will fall out"
"It will make its way to $8k at some point, but I was wrong with year end"

You sound like the doom and gloomers that tell us every year the sky is falling.
"The crash is coming this year."
>>No crash this year.
"The crash is coming next year."
>>>No crash
"The following year it will crash!"

You are the typical internet troll that has to tell everyone multiple times how well you are off and then buys 100 shares of LUV. At the same time you keep posting on Bitcoin threads but dont own a single satoshi :) You sound jealous and very insecure. Why else would you HAVE to tell us some many times how well you are doing? I've never met a rich guy who HAS to tell you that multiple times.

I don't have to rain on someone's parade and I back up my investment with screenshots.

Wookie does only one thing. Trolling and contradicting himself. Check out his comments:

"The bottom will fall out"
"It will make its way to $8k at some point, but I was wrong with year end"
"I like to play the bigger numbers" "I bought 100 shares of LUV"
"I dont trade. Its a losers game"
"I'd actually consider trading BTC"
"Fuck no on holding though"
"I dont care about the price of BTC"
"8k by year end"
"its going to land in the 1000-2500 range"
"no x axis"......DF is too dumb to open up the source thats listed on the chart. I guess he really is too fuckin dumb to get that the x axis is the timeline.
"Wait, wait, wait. I thought it was 9,000,000%. Is it 17,918.98% or 9,000,000%?"
"Basic index funds have outperformed BTC"
>>>>REALLY? missed the fact that its up by 9,000,000%? Not a surprise, DF.
"an unregulated market"
"roulette"
"Nuclear EMP goes off"
"Would have sold everything at 18k"
"I am good with 9%"
"Bitcoin is not backed by anything"
"artificial scarcity"
"I only care about 6 figure gains"
"wake up at 6am and your money is all gone"

What do you do to make 70% on your investment in a month...month over month?

I've made money off investments, but I've never claimed to make 70% month over month. I make money off of my business as income and assets. The screenshots we see are fake, but assume they're real. A 2 month gain of $20-30k is what I actually make in a month. And no, that's not rich. It's a big fat nothing burger. My business is mostly passive income, so it's no different then fucking around in Crypto, except I have assets and value behind it if shit hits the fan.

I'd guess most everyone here has had a 2 month percentage gain on a stock like we've seen with BTC the last two months. None of that matters if you don't realize the gain. He hasn't. Start playing with house money and invest and diversify in other things. G talks about nothing else because there is nothing else and there was no purchase of BTC. I won't dox myself any more on this site as I specifically don't trust people like him. And I'm not stupid. No one has to believe me, it won't keep me awake at night. I'm just sick of dangerous "investment" advice.

It's trading and it's one of the riskiest and most volatile platforms out there. To spout off like it's some sure thing is dangerous. It's why Onvacation always mentions the greater fool. It's true. If he's not lying and wants to prove it (I'm not asking for this) post a picture of a bank account with the URL in it at the top. Date and time included. Or a bank statement with private info redacted. This won't happen because people can verify letter heads and statement layout, fonts, etc. That's why the screen shots we get are these grainy, small screen shots that contain just a number and symbol. It's stupid.

Also factor in history here. He was wrong for 3 years and just now is getting above all time highs from then. Even today from Dec. 2017 it's a hysterically low gain over that time period. That's 3 years of dead cash while others were making money in one of the best stock market periods of all time. One of the best business environments. His cash just sat there making nothing for 3 years. I think anyone would be frustrated as he said he holds and doesn't sell. He has an investment dogma and it has failed compared to other things he could have done with the cash, so he is super defensive. Gets rid of an old username and creates a new one when the narrative doesn't make him look like an ass.

Not really. $250-320k is pretty normal upper middle class. The 1% is a very statistically bad metric to compare anything to. There are people that are insanely wealthy that probably draw $50k of income a year, sometimes nothing if they've amassed huge wealth. My old boss could spend like a mother fucker, but only would show income of $80k between his wife and him. Between savings and using business as a spending vehicle, you can show very little income. It's why Trump never wanted to show his taxes. The regular W-2 employee doesn't understand it.

I figured the demographic here that's doing the programming/coding/tech stuff is pulling in $120-180k as an individual though? And at least $200-250k as a family if married. Otherwise, why are some living in CA? I don't know. Most people I hang out with are pulling in $200k/yr as a family. I mean I know a couple that are Chicago cops ~37 years old, salary is public record and they're pulling in about $190k. That's for a cop family.

Compare Dec. 2017 BTC prices to todays price. I'm talking a 3 year period as G likes to say BTC has gain 9,000,000% based on the beginning value when a few dudes held and were concocting this BTC scheme. So from Dec. 2017 to today for BTC, there are plenty of other assets that beat BTC. He thinks I'm a gold bug and I'm not. I'm not invested in any metals unless it's somehow in my retirement funds I set and forget. As an investment, not trading, that you hold and get ZERO dividends, it was dead money for 3 years. There's no disputing that.

If you're one of the couple hundred people that knows you have bitcoin from the beginning, it's highly unlikely you hold it or even know where it is anymore or have sold it and are insanely rich. The vast majority, almost everyone is holding BTC once it became fashionable in 2017. If they traded, sure the last 3 years had tons of potential gains. G is pushing holding it long term. That's bad advice, now that it's no longer $100. That's been my point, but some don't get it.

I understand the appeal of having some form of money that cannot be inflated by the Fed or seized if someone sues you.

But also, it gives ordinary people who have no power a kind of hope of escaping a system which otherwise has them thoroughly trapped. It has aspects of religion in that way. A kind of hope for salvation.

I play with bigger numbers. You cannot prove that wrong. LUV is probably a safe bet. You cannot prove that wrong because you got your head up cryptos ass. I grabbed 100 shares when Covid hit as it was an uncertain time and didn't want to add more to my position. Why didn't you buy BTC in March? It was $5k. Your 2 month gains look pretty tame.

You don't know what else I hold with LUV. That was just one purchase. I bought early on NCL, you've never asked how much that was. I'm still up though. You keep pointing these things out like you're right. You haven't pointed out one thing wrong with what I've said besides pointing arrows at things. It's cute you take the time to do that, but cannot post anything intelligent about it.

Price predictions range from 500k to 1M within the next five years.

"Guggenheim Investments investment director Scott Minerd sees bitcoin as undervalued even at $26,000. Guggenheim's projection sees bitcoin eventually hitting $400,000.

Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal is calling for $300,000 bitcoin in just 18 months. "I use a number of measures. I use technical analysis, logarithmic charts, I use the stock-to-flow ratio … We're going to be somewhere between $500,000 and $1 million within five years, and we should be somewhere between $100,000 to $300,000 in the next 12 to 18 months," he told Kitco News in December.

Gemini crypto exchange founder Tyler Winklevoss told CNBC that he sees bitcoin rising above $500,000. Citibank is not ruling out $318,000 by the end of 2021."

Its very healthy for Bitcoin that it didnt keep on going up in a straight line. It needs to build support levels and go through accumulation phases.
What one need to keep in mind is, institutions cant just buy Bitcoin at a blink of an eye. A lot of boxes have to be checked and a process has to be completed for institutions to put 100s of millions of USD in Bitcoin on their balance sheet. Its unlikely they have any interest in selling their Bitcoin.

Rather, they hold for the long term. Smart.

Maybe that's why we call them smart money.

"US Lawmaker Likes Bitcoin — Urges Policymakers to Embrace Innovation in Regulation"

https://news.bitcoin.com/us-lawmaker-likes-bitcoin-policymakers-innovation-regulation/

U.S. Representative Patrick McHenry is pro-bitcoin. He is now hosting the Bitcoin whitepaper on his official congressional website and has called on other lawmakers to embrace innovation like Bitcoin. He believes that the cryptocurrency is unstoppable and governments cannot kill it.

A growing number of U.S. lawmakers have recently spoken in support of Bitcoin. Among them is Congressman Patrick McHenry from the state of North Carolina. On Friday, he talked on CNBC’s Squawk Box about how to approach regulation after last week’s market swings. “You can’t put technology back in the box. Innovation is here. We have to embrace. We have to broaden access to our markets, we have to broaden access to our financial products,” he said.
