I just saw bitcoin silence today and wondered wtf, where was all the cheering?
I know it's still up at like 40k, but uhh.. how did 20% of this amazing store of value evaporate in 2 days?

Hint. this is still speculation even though it is up.

Have fun speculating, but remember to limit your exposure, and diversify your investments.

you should be aware this is where we come to point out lies and BS, and your pumping is off the charts.

@Zak,
Can you point out one lie or one "BS". My pumping?
I simply point out that Bitcoin haters talk "price" the moment Bitcoin dips. During the recovery and new all time highs the haters are silent and magically they dont care about price anymore. Sure! That is obvious BS IMO. I am simply curious how you reconcile the two.....wasnt it you, that posted this:

"I just saw bitcoin silence today and wondered wtf, where was all the cheering?
I know it's still up at like 40k, but uhh.. how did 20% of this amazing store of value evaporate in 2 days?"

So, you really stick to your story that price doesnt matter to you? LMAO
The next time Bitcoin dips, you are going to post the same "BS" again. I guess, we'll wait and see :)

Wookie (supposedly a moderator) does this every time. He cant debate with facts, turns personal and if that doesnt help him, he runs to Patrick and accuses me off stuff he has no proof of.

@Patrick, I like that. Still a bit concerned about the behavior of Wookie since he claims to be a moderator. Maybe another moderator could provide some coaching for him. Just an idea.

Onvacation, lets stay on topic and avoid discussing users.

Maybe you can start with answering a question.
For instance, do you admit, you still havent found any source that indicates that Bitcoin can be counterfeited? You can fake USD/FIAT and Gold but you cant double spend Bitcoin.
The Bitcoin network has never been hacked since its inception (over a decade ago). That is remarkable and I believe part of the reason why a company like Tesla feels comfortable investing 1.5B USD in Bitcoin :)
155   Zak   2021 Mar 11, 11:02pm

"you still havent found any source that indicates that Bitcoin can be counterfeited?"

Did you know you can't counterfeit my dirty socks? They have my unique DNA signature that simply can't be replicated.

Lets just ignore that anyone can make dirty socks at will, MY dirty socks can't be counterfeit.

Hope that helps you! BTW, the price has also gone up to $150 per pair. Note, that's a 50% increase from the last price rise! Remember, your purchase must be completed by making a donation to Patrick.net.

BTW, I hear there is going to be a bigger price increase soon, so hurry, and buy while you still can!

do you think its fair to say moderator WookieMan should be told to behave like a moderator?

Moderators are not leaders, that's not the job. The job is to clean up the shit. I rarely even moderate comments. You spam the site with BS links. Edit quotes and comments after the fact. You repeat the same post over and over "trying" to SELL everyone on BTC. You don't answer questions, yet you post altered graphs acting like that is answering a question.

Everything I just said is fact and not a personal comment. You don't have to like it or agree with it, but you could always actually defend you position or explain it. You haven't. You don't even try. You come in every day and just hit up all these flipping Crypto threads with the same shit. That IS spam... It's why you have 12 ignores. And it's why you had to leave before.

Everyone here that does invest in crypto has told you to tap the brakes with the cheerleading. They can have a logical discussion about it and understand what it is. You don't want to hear it and just take a daily dump of crypto shit on the site. You are ignored by people that invest in crypto. That says a lot...

Moderators are not leaders,

That's correct. you are not a leader. You are a bad example of a moderator. You can't debate with facts and then turn personal - every time. On top you make up lies about me without any proof.
Basically, the opposite of what a moderator should do. You can disagree with someone on a topic but you are unable to do that without always reverting back to discussing users instead of the topic.

It was cute though when you told Patrick that "I need to go". That was adorable!

My recommendation still is for another moderator to provide coaching for you.

@Patrick,
I thought you are going to do a mutual ignore?

@Zak
Thanks for confirming you cant find a source that says Bitcoin's can be counterfeited. You cant dispute it so that's why you change the subject.
You accused me of lies but havent provided any proof.
You accused me of BS, but you are the one talking about Bitcoin's price when it dips and when it recovers you say you dont care about price. That smells like BS to me.
159   WookieMan   2021 Mar 12, 7:48am

I have. You don't answer questions. You went from 0 ignores to 12 in the quickest time I've seen on this site. You're ignored by people that invest in crypto. Again, that speaks volumes. You still cannot respond to that. You don't answer questions. You post spam. Prove other wise. Your ignores prove I'm right.

Moderation isn't being a leader. It's cleaning up the BS on a website. I'm trying.
160   Bitcoin   2021 Mar 12, 8:05am

Wookie, You cant disprove any of these facts and that's why you get upset, start personal stuff, make up lies without proof and even beg the owner of the site to kick me out. And you call yourself a moderator? You need coaching if you want to be a moderator.

161   WookieMan   2021 Mar 12, 8:24am

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/1/51-attack.asp

Knocks out easily transactable as you cannot transact in this situation.
Knocks out smart because it shouldn't be possible to do this.
Knocks out decentralized as a centralized group of miners could knock out the whole thing.
Knocks out durability as it's toast if this happens.
Knocks out fungible as it cannot be interchanged if the miners so decide.

This is just one link. This can happen as you have ZERO clue who is mining it. Crypto is backed by nothing, only that people will transfer fiat to pay for it. You've never answered to that. If you want more links I'll keep going. You post a chart and have ZERO explanation. We could flip all the columns and you'd still not understand it. Keep spamming though. Probably the 100th time this has been posted. That's spam. My job is to moderate that kind of crap. I'm do it and you don't like it. Why?

What a ridiculous way to argue, Wookie. And it doesnt change the concerns about your behavior as a moderator (accusations without proof, going personal versus discussing the topic, trying to get users kicked out that disagree on a topic)

A 51% attack has never happened since inception. The fact that something can hypothetically happen doesnt mean Bitcoin is not scarce, secure, smart, decentralized etc.

I dumb it down for you, the fact that aliens could hypothetically arrive tomorrow and steal all of the worlds gold doesnt mean gold is not durable.

Yes, I'd agree. And this is what G36 doesn't understand. It's not a hypothetical. It's a communist government that controls everything. They can allocate ALL resources to whatever they want. They will let their people starve, go without electric, anything to help the party. AND they likely have the capability to shut down our electric grid.

Some people just don't understand it. Whatever.

Either way, no counter argument from G36 to no backing asset/product which all currency or things of value have. Someone has to WANT crypto for it to stay inflated. If no one does, it's worthless.
165   Bitcoin   2021 Mar 12, 9:05am

Thats hilarious! Bitcoin is not durable, scarce, decentralized because of China, China, China!
And Tesla must be in on it! Why else did they convert 1.5B USD into Bitcoin! These traitors!

Who are you responding to? What question have you answered? I was talking to G36. Not sure who you are. G36 is a proven spammer and manipulator though, that's for sure. Maybe G will will respond after walking the dog? I don't know, gotta be happy though with Biden extending UE benefits though. Dog gets an extra walk or 10 ;)
167   Zak   2021 Mar 12, 10:00am

@Bitcoin I guess you completely ignored my previous posts where I completely demolish your BS chart.

As far as "counterfeiting" bitcoin.. A digital token that supposedly has a strictly limited supply. Well here you go: etherium, dogecoin, bitcoin cash, zcash, stellar lumen, thje list goes on:

https://www.trustetc.com/blog/types-of-cryptocurrency-explained/

Now we have as much supply of "limited " digital tokens as we could want. They even try to "counterfeit" bitcoin with bitcoin cash... If bitcoin is "gold 2.0", then bitcoin cash is "gold 2.0.1" , and I see no reason one isn't interchangeable with the other...

Would you ACTUALLY respond to this? Or will you resume your BS and pumping?
168   Zak   2021 Mar 12, 10:03am

@wookieman you may have missed it, but G36 has been renamed bitcoin...probably to avoid the @g36 summons that were bothering him.. which means the summons just need to be updated to @Bitcoin

Didn't miss Newbie123, G36 or Bitcoin. The beauty of name changes is I'm no longer talking about that user ;) They don't exist and all comments have been updated besides quotes. Can't mark it personal because they hide behind a new name.

He can hate the player, but don't hate the game. lol. But you're right, avoiding getting called out is the plan for G36. Doesn't answer questions. Spams. I'm doing my work, moderating trash. I'd invest in BTC in one second if G36 could explain it. Can't. Won't. Poor salesman I guess which is why the doggy gets walked so much.
170   Bitcoin   2021 Mar 12, 11:00am

@Zak,

i love my new name and the symbol. Should have done that a while ago. The @ summons comments are pretty funny. None of them actually do anything as i have notifications turned off. And even if I had notifications turned on, you can just route it to a spam folder. I never really got why onvacation got so riled up about me using the @ thingy.

So, still no evidence that Bitcoin can be counterfeited, right? Because you cant :)

I bought Petrochina stock in 2006 or so:

https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/PTR

I used to work in the library on patrick.net and there was an old Chinese guy who I would compete with to get the Wall Street Journal. Whoever got there first had to wait for the other to read it. So I started talking to him about stocks, and he said to never buy any Chinese stock because the CCP will just confiscate it all whenever they deem it to be in their own interest.

I sold PTR after that and I think it never did recover to the price I sold at, but does pay a hefty dividend if you are willing to take the risk of dealing with the CCP.

Let that soak in... I'm pretty sure most mine are from users that have moved on from the site as well. Yours are all recently active users.

But hey, keep posting the price in USD everyday for the 2-3 others here that hold BTC and have you on ignore. Totally not spam.... lol.

Yeah, usually, we dont hear much from anti-Bitcoiners during a run up. The ones that missed out and havent bought yet are usually barking the loudest when Bitcoin corrects. As soon as it recovers and reaches to new all time highs its silence. Not a peep :)

On paper, yes. If you don't take gains, then no. It doesn't matter until you gain something from it. Housing bust 2.0. Everyone thought their house was the greatest thing since sliced bread when someone bought in '03-'04 and the price doubled by '06. You get to live there and it's worth X value. That really worked out well for a lot of people.....

This is a speculative bubble and no one can prove otherwise as there's no assets backing it in anyway. New cryptos are made every day. There's zero function or utility to it outside of confirming transfers of the fake money. It's a video game.

Yes, the value has gone up 1,000% in the past 12 months! Beautiful!
And major companies are investing in Bitcoin. NVidia has created a new chip, just for crypto.

https://www.thestreet.com/investing/cryptocurrency/bitcoin-holds-its-own-around-60k

Among those embracing the currency? JPMorgan JPM has recently unveiled an investment product with indirect exposure to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, while names like PayPal (PYPL) - Get Report and Visa (V) - Get Report earlier began offering crypto services. Tech giant Nvidia (NVDA) - Get Report has even created a new chip especially for use in cryptocurrency.

Not beautiful unless you've taken gains. Classic pumper and you're sounding like the guys that bought a shack in 2007 thinking housing would run forever. It didn't and BTC is no different.

At least with a house you've got a roof over your head and you can scrap stuff from inside if the shit hits the fan (it did) and then it will become the banks problem after you live 1-2 years rent/payment free. Just a credit hit for 7 years. BTC won't end as well.
189   Bitcoin   2021 Mar 15, 6:57am

the best part about it is, we are still in the disbelief stage. There were actual people who thought Bitcoin will go to 1.2k not that long ago !

In reality, this happened:

"Bitcoin hit a record $60,000 on Saturday, marking a 1,000% gain in the past year."
https://markets.businessinsider.com/currencies/news/bitcoin-price-surges-record-60000-stimulus-hopes-institutional-support-2021-3-1030188023

Beautiful gains!
