WHY THE HELL aren't the major media outlets covering this?
When we were staying at a time share in the French Quarter a few year ago in New Orleans, the second to the last day we saw a column of smoke in the hood. As it turned out a doctor, the head of the plastic surgery department at Tulane, had been murdered by a gay consort and his house set on fire. He was white and he liked male hookers and boyfriends of color. They never caught the perp. However, you would think that would be a story that would be all over the national papers, but it barely made the local news. When we got back to California, it took some digging to find any story or follow up about it at all.
WHY THE HELL aren't the major media outlets covering this?
Would it be worthwhile to make a news aggregator for LOCAL news stuff that should make national headlines?
Because the corporate controlled media won't report it.
Guess what JD has done so far? 'Trained' their white collar salaried, non-union staff to be a scab force. Day and Night. 12 shifts.
They were told that they would be fired if they didn't comply.
And this strike has zero to do with COVID jabs. This is about the union taking advantage of the labor shortages situation to finally strike over two tiered treatment of the workers.
Krystal & Saagar on Breaking Points have been interviewing the union workers. And they got video of an ambulance coming into the plant to pick up a scab who APPARENTLY was injured from crashing a tractor.
WHY THE HELL aren't the major media outlets covering this? Why don't they have their own sources in place to provide good coverage like the ambulance thing?
Aren't the media outlets now 'progressive activists' anyway? That's what they openly proclaim all the time now. 'Objective journalism? OK, Boomer..."
Ok, next question: Assuming that BS about media now being about 'progressive activism', Aren't progressives 'for' Labor?
Or are 'progressives' more for Lattes & Avocado Toast than they are for Labor? <-- Ouch! That one hurts because you know it is true.
Or are the big media outlets now just censors for Corporate Globalism. And that their veneer of being progressively activist is all a bunch of PR BS millions of viewing audience suckers believe? <-- you know that one is true too. Just doesn't have the 'ouch' factor like that other rhetorical statement did.
I'm not a big fan of unions. I don't like the whole way unionization works and the corruption involved. But I am not surprised and I am finding myself a little sympathetic. And 'progressive' parties the world over (Labour in UK, Democrats in the US, SDP in Germany, ...etc) have screwed over these folks even more than the GOP has in the past 30 years. So, I consider things like this happening in the US to be another front in the Democrat Party Post-Trump Civil War. Therefore, I am enjoying this in a totally schadenfreude kinda way. 🙂
