‘Government Overreach Is Coming to an End’: Massive Truck Convoy Heading to Washington After Ottawa

American truckers protesting against vaccine mandates and government overreach have been joining a record-breaking Canadian convoy of tens of thousands of vehicles headed to Ottawa.

Brian Von D, the administrator at “Convoy to DC 2022” announced that they will “join forces” to ride from California to Washington, adding that “America is next.”

“As [the Canadian convoy] moved from the west to the east, [the American truckers] have been filtering into this convoy, and it is absolutely massive. It is known worldwide, it is the largest thus far,” he said in a live video on Facebook.

Tens of thousands of vehicles were reported to have departed from all parts of Canada.

A large number from the United States have been joining along the way.

Brian clarified that some numbers “running around” on social media about the trucks joining the convoy are not correct.

“A post says 100,000 to 5,000. Those aren’t correct. Somebody made those numbers up. There’s no way for us to put a number on exactly how many United States trucks have gone over there.”

Speaking about the upcoming U.S. convoy, he said “it will start in California and it will end in DC and we’re gonna stay there, just like Canada is doing,” Brian said. “You’re gonna have your main artery … everybody will join in as they go down the interstate to DC.”

He added that dates and planned routes would be released soon on a website and various social media platforms, and a GoFundMe page would only be released on their CONVOY TO DC 2022 Facebook page.

“We’re done with the mandates, were done with the government telling us what to do, we will continue and we will follow just like the rest of the world on these trucker protests, and they will be 100 percent legal, they will abide by the law.”

Brian added that nobody has been kicked out of the convoy so far for failing to abide by agreed-upon terms.

“It’s been a unity that I’ve never seen before, not anywhere in the north. Canada has definitely shown that—the most peaceful protest in the convoy I have seen to date,” Brian further stated. “America, it’s your turn, it’s your turn to step up and show what you’re made of.

“We don’t care what side you’re on, we don’t care where you’re from, if you live in America, in Canada, or anywhere you may come from, we’re doing it for you,” he said.

Businesses of different sizes, as well as families in the two countries, have helped the convoys with food, shelter, and gas.

As they passed through different cities, videos on Facebook show they were greeted with long rows of people cheering and holding Canadian flags, with some shooting off fireworks.

He added that they’re also doing it for the trolls that are disrupting their various pages.

“We’re actually doing it for the trolls too. So they can work and live their lives too. So it doesn’t matter. We love you all. America, it’s time to stand up. Welcome to the finale of the show. We love you. God bless you.”

The massive event has seen little reporting so far by the corporate media. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the “people who are on their way to Ottawa” a “small fringe minority” that is “holding unacceptable views” during a press conference on Jan. 26.

He then announced on Jan. 27 he came into contact with someone infected with COVID-19 and has gone into self-isolation.

He told The Canadian Press that he tested negative, feels fine, and has no symptoms.

Not Essential Workers

Brian said that during the pandemic, truckers were not able to pull in to eat or shower freely due to their not having been considered essential, and didn’t receive funds or stimulus checks.

The government has “completely extended their arm and their reach to control for far too long and far too easy and made money off of you. To tell us what to do.


“We elected those officials in, now it’s time to elect them out. It’s all by design so you can see the corruptness and you’re awake to it. There is no hate in this group,” Brian added.

“The government overreach is coming to an end, and this is how we do it.

“If you go back to America, in 1776, it took one shot to be heard. The British came over, an entire army came over. And it was villages that beat the British, an entire army,” Brian noted, “Well, we don’t do it that way anymore. It’s not violent like that anymore.

Brian added that they “had a plan” that “has worked to a T.

“All you do is get in and drive and be a part of something that is now making history that will be in the history books, it will forever be known in 2022 that you are part of this worldwide movement. You, not us. We’re together with you. We’re just the voices to get it out.

“One voice can be heard worldwide. And that’s through you the people.”

International Support

More U.S. truckers joined the protesting efforts after the creators of Freedom Fighter Nation, Attorney Leigh Dundas and her paralegal and personal assistant Maureen Steele, started organizing in the United States.

“Our wonderful country is mobilizing! People who have been numbed and stunned over what has transpired over the past two years are waking. They are now doing and we are coordinating and moving in an intentional manner,” Steele told The Epoch Times.

Steele said that Australia is mobilizing its own convoy now, and more rally points in the United States are being established, with thousands to attend at each one.

“We are taking our country back. Make no mistake, we the patriots and freedom lovers are the majority. The 20-25 percent that want socialism or communism that is the MINORITY. It doesn’t matter right now who is left or who is right, none of that matters if we lose our freedom. Freedom is a banner we can all rally under. Liberty crackles through all of our veins. God bless our Canadian brothers and sisters for reminding us we are fighters! Thanks for the nudge. We are awake. AWAKE. I saw a post on a Canadian site that said ‘you woke the sleeping lions.’ Well, America just got a wake-up call from our Canadian neighbors, and guess what? I’m putting the world on notice. They woke the fire-breathing dragon!!” Steele further noted.

Other countries such as Brazil have organized their own convoys, expressing solidarity for the cause.

This is what the Quakers did in England. They refused to swear an oath to the King and were to a man arrested for treason. So many Quakers filled the jails that the gubment had to release the real criminals in order to fit the "treasonous" Quakers. With all the released criminals, England suffered an epidemic of highway robbery by the "highwaymen." These were the criminals that had been released who realized that there were no consequences for crime (since there was no room in the jails because of all the Quakers) and set upon the nobility in their carriages. Eventually, the limey king cut Willaim Penn a deal: all Quakers would be freed as long as the emigrated to North America. He even gave them a royal charter for the territory now known as Pennsylvania.

The civil rights movement in the 60's had the same goal: overload the jail. In the Children's March, so many children were arrested, that they had to house them in open cattle pens exposed to the elements. Since this was in the south, they only had to contend with rain and the sun.

Speaking of the sun, there is nothing new under it. We learn from the examples of our brave ancestors who realized that it is only when essentially everyone is willing to stand up against tyranny that tyranny will be defeated. It is only when good men and women do nothing in the face of evil that evil can win.

I found several used truck tractors for as low as $11K on Craigslist. Fully functioning with about 300K miles on the clock and minor issues like a coolant leak... Might not be a good vehicle for real trucking but fucking perfect to be parked in the middle of some Sacramento intersection. Add a used trailer for $5-6K and it becomes even perfectER. =))

Many Canadians wrote in with their personal experiences of the trucker convoy. Here’s one report:

I live in a mid-sized city in Southwestern Ontario, roughly 6 hours from Ottawa, in good traffic. On Thursday, I drove up with a friend to Ottawa to see the convoy as it rolled into town. Up the 401 (the busiest highway in North America and the critical artery that ties Southwestern Ontario together), we saw crowds of people waving flags, holding signs with supportive messages for the convoy, and cheers on every overpass. Anytime that we were near a tractor-trailer as it rolled under a bridge, the crowds packed on top hooped and hollered—even though there was no way to tell if that truck was part of the convoy!

On Thursday night, Ottawa was still relatively quiet, although there were a lot of Canadian flags flying from pickups and SUVs. Regular folks who got in their cars, pickups, SUVs, and vans beat the convoy to Ottawa on Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Around 10 AM on Friday, January 28, the HONKING began. Day 1 of The HOONKENING. People in pickups, cars, SUVs, vans were starting to pile into town, and they began jamming up roads in the downtown core, most importantly Wellington St, the street the Parliament buildings sit on. As far as I can ascertain, the first big trucks arrived from the Southwestern Ontario leg a couple of hours later. They, too, piled up on Wellington St and other roads in the downtown core and held their horns down.

Seemingly, entire hotels in Downtown Ottawa were booked out by protestors. I walked the streets of downtown with a group of friends on Friday night. Despite the temperature hovering somewhere around -27℃, the city was one giant block party. Folks were screaming at the top of their lungs for "FREEEEEEEEDOM!!!!" firecrackers and fireworks popped off intermittently, HOONKING was incessant. One woman was running around with her shirt off, wearing body paint that said "My Body, My Choice," while a burly gent wielded dual Canadian flags wearing nothing but his underwear and some steel-toes.

People actually had fun in this country for the first time in two years.

I entered the lobby of the Ottawa Marriott hotel, and the best way I can describe the scene is by likening it to the Taliban takeover of the American embassy in Kabul last year. Gents were guzzling wine straight from the bottle, smokes were lit, and no one was wearing a mask except for the cowed security guard standing by the door, head down, having been defeated earlier that day by the sheer overwhelming numbers.

We moved up the floors, and every suite had a raucous party underway. I got up to the 26th floor and stepped out onto the balcony to see the whole street below packed with crowds of people streaming between the trucks, still honking, echoing up into the sky. Ottawa was occupied.

I managed to retreat to a quiet place on the outskirts of town and lay down to rest. But, the party did not stop. It stretched into the morning of Saturday, halted for an hour or so around 8 AM so people could grab some breakfast, and then revved right back up again. Everyone in the downtown core converged on Parliament like moths to a light. Parliamentary Security put barriers up at every entrance except one, creating a chokepoint everyone had to pass through. However, the numbers proved decisive again, and they soon gave up any attempts at screening the crowd.

This was also when the Western leg arrived in town, further causing massive traffic jams and effectively forcing pedestrian travel in the downtown core.

The scene was much the same on Sunday, except the focus shifted from the Hill itself to a truck parked across Wellington St equipped with a flatbed and a booming sound system. Maxime Bernier, the leader of the People's Party of Canada (the only political party that has fought against covid restrictions since the beginning and the first organized group, in general, to do so), spoke and got huge applause from the crowd.

Many people headed home on Sunday night, and the crowd had noticeably thinned on Monday, yet Wellington St was still loaded with trucks. On Tuesday, when I left, all but the most hardcore truckers had left the city. The group still present at the Hill intend to stay there for two to four years if necessary!

Since returning to my home city, I have noticed that mask compliance has absolutely cratered, though it was never high here, to begin with. I would estimate about 2 out of every ten people still walk around with their cuck muzzle. Many businesses that have capacity limits in Ontario, such as gyms, spas, and restaurants, now openly defy them.

In Saskatchewan, the Premier announced that his province would scrap every covid-related restriction and measure within the month, including the vaccine passport. In Québec, the psychopath in charge, who has perhaps been one of the most gleefully-dictatorial politicians in the Western world throughout the dystopia, announced that he is scrapping the proposed "unvaccinated tax."

In Australia, the USA, and Europe, I have also heard reports of similar convoys taking inspiration from Canada that will drive to their respective capitals and demand an end to measures in their countries.

Recently, a smaller convoy has blockaded a critical border crossing in Alberta, where many goods pass into and out of Canada and the United States. The police did not mobilize heavily in Ottawa or attempt much of anything. However, the RCMP stationed at the Alberta border blockade are spooked and discussing violent actions against the truckers.

Given that Trudeau fled Ottawa like Louis XVI, well in advance of the convoy's arrival, and that no one in Ottawa attempted to storm Parliament despite outrageous corporate media incitation and blanket-designations of racism, white supremacy, and all the other –isms, it makes sense why the police stood by. But now that a critical economic node is threatened, action is taken. We'll see what happens.
