I think I'll wait a bit to apply. I wouldnt want to get hired into a team he ends up cutting. Maybe wait a bit to see if he goes on a hiring spree to build out some of his changes. Although there may be some backfill opportunities where they desperately hire people now to replace "Brayden" the woke transgender who rage quits upon hearing the news that the Elonification is coming.
One thing that did worry me is he said one of his changes / goals will be to "authenticate all humans". I dont know what that means, but it sounds like maybe linking your twitter handle to your real identity. I imagine that would greatly reduce spam and trolls, as well as make people speak less brazenly. But I think discussion of certain topics is best served by anonymous handles. Although, sometimes I wonder if anon handles are part of the problem that makes discussion of certain things taboo, as if everyone just talked openly via real identities, it would be viewed as more normal. hmm.

I do worry a bit about that too. Let's see what he means.

I'm fixing that!
NAT Traversal is actually really easy, and now, I just have to build an entire protocol on top of it! Easy Peasy!
Frankly, Telegram pisses me off, and I have a scheme to remove "bad actors".

Can you explain more fully please. I am contemplating registering on Twitter.
Can you explain more fully please. I am contemplating registering on Twitter.
Twatter, as I recall needs your phone number to register. Once they link that to your account, it's absolutely permanent. I never will link my phone to anything on the net. It's a pain in the butt sometimes, but there's no phone # linked here for example. I could have 70 accounts here, and YOU wouldn't know, but Patrick would.
Part of the problem is you don't want trolls and PR assholes on your platform (or you want AUTHORIZED ones) - I think I have a concept (that MAY lead to group stupidity) but will allow people to identify bad actors - i.e. propagandists and trolls, and just eliminate them.

But no way to keep anon on Twitter?
There are some public addresses where they have anonymous SMS - like www.mailinator.com. Personally, I think email as it is now has to be done away with, and phone numbers as well. I've given this example before, but this is my TOX Id for https://tox.chat/?source=patrick.net
That is (mostly) an ECC key. It's unique in the world, it's unique to my machine, and my account running it. I can generate 100's of thousands of those and they will all be unique, even if everybody generated 100's of thousands of them, no two are likely to match.
You can not randomly connect to anybody by GUESSING their ID - there's too many possible numbers. If that's your ID, there's no way to get spam is there? Why do we only have 10 billion phone numbers? Dial a random number and you're likely to hit somebody. It should be Trillions of Trillions of Trillons of possible numbers. You'd guess numbers randomly for a lifetime, and never hit a person.
Anonymity has its problems, but they can be identified over time. I used to be a big film buff and IMDB was great, it would recognize you liked movies A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H, and I and it would then find that somebody else liked A,B,C,D,J,K,L,M, and N. And it would make honest suggestions that because you liked certain films, the other person would probably have the same taste and vice-versa. I don't think such a thing should be limited to just films. The problem is offloading it to a personal server instead of a centralized one and a server today, it's $100. Your phone is a fucking server today.
We have to distribute communication, no head to the beast to cut off.

I probably did miss out on further gains, but you can't lose by winning.
I may have bought your shares...
Kicking myself for not getting some last week.
Where else would they go? Truth Social? Bwahahahahaha.
Woah, it's done.
@EBGuy Well you win too then! Happy to share the spoils with you.
I may too. I wonder what their vax policy is? (or maybe I should say was....heh. go Elon.)
Even Goolag has dropped the mandate at least two months ago.

Seeing woke twitter employees say stuff this makes me oddly happy
