I get the point, but you can't go from sucking Elon's cock to throwing him into a dumpster fire because you're butt hurt. EV's are either good or bad. I've always had a neutral stance with Musk. I don't like the government subsidies, I don't like the cars themselves and I don't like the people that will flip on a whim over politics.

Fact is he has haters on the left and right. He doesn't give a fuck. He's not running for office. He says what he wants and has fuck you money. Certain people can't handle that because they're insecure. I can dislike his cars but appreciate his other stuff he's doing. Not everything is an A or B choice in life. People do good, bad and stupid things.

A few weeks ago, my Tesla (three year old Model Y) had a battery major fault (wouldn't charge.) Tesla opted to replace with a refurbished battery. The swap took just a few minutes - the "matching" process to replace your battery with a similarly degraded refurb took about 2 weeks! But this tells me Tesla has a very robust battery refurb process. Full warranty, zero cost to me, I got a loaner after the first week. I've had worse experiences with ICE car repairs.

I'm talking about the Musk fanboys. They love their cars, but when it comes to politics they'll bus toss him if he's in favor of Trump. Neither has anything to do with the other. I'm not saying you personally. I can dislike Tesla and still like Space X. We're on the same page. Fanboys are so quick to suck Musk's cock and then throw him to the side when it comes to politics.

I also don't think they're bad cars, just don't work for my needs. Distance and utility. It has neither in any model of any EV Tesla or otherwise. I need towing and passenger capacity. They all fail and even if one was made it would be $120k at least.
