A voicemail discovered on Hunter's backed up data confirms the President called Hunter on December 12, 2018 saying he needed to discuss a New York Times report linking the First Son to Chinese oil giant CEFC.

The Times story pointed out that CEFC's chairman Ye Jianming had been arrested in China and his top lieutenant Patrick Ho had been convicted in the US for bribing African officials to help Iran evade oil sanctions.

Ye had met with Hunter at a Miami hotel in 2017 to discuss 'a partnership to invest in American infrastructure and energy deals.'

In 2018, Hunter Biden was part of a project by the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, which he was a member of the board.

Emails and attached documents from Hunter’s laptop show he was linked to the project that sought to profit from exporting grain from Ukraine to China.

The first son’s signature was among those on a Burisma board resolution dated July 27, 2018.

The document concerned the “Sino Ukraine Silk Road Grain Port” project.

In addition to Hunter, seven other members of Burisma’s board of directors authorized their adviser, Vadym Pozharskyi, to “represent with all Chinese Potential Shareholders for development, negotiation, and contracting issues as well as operation management of the project ‘Sino Ukraine Silk Road Grain Port’.”

Hunter’s fellow Burisma board member, former CIA officer Joseph Cofer Black, was also among those who signed off on the project, the document shows.
