Here in the US, a traveler must be very careful about marijuana that could be legal in one state and illegal in other states.
Elena made the comment that one should check with the airline you have a ticket booked about drug laws and regulations in the country where you are traveling to.
My advice is to talk to the embassy of the country that you are traveling to make sure that you are following all their drug laws and regulations
Russia wasn't having it, it pissed them off so much, they aren't even willing to swap two Russian warlord thugs, one called the merchant of death.
This shit isn't normal, and decent people like Putin, gets deeply offended by it, it shakes his Christian values to the core.
Well as it turned out, the Russians wanted a conviction before they took up the trade offer. Now the Biden Administration can't brag, that they swapped terrorists for a hostage.
It was a prisoner swap, not a hostage negotiation.
Griner is a DUDE! 😉

I don't think Russia really wants these people back that are being offered up. I think they are asking for the most vile awful people in exchange for basically nobody, just to demonstrate how fucking corrupt our government is.
She was kind of insecure about her chest, and so made up for it in enthusiasm.
Nope. TSA doesn't care with so many states being legal. It's not worth their time to pursue. They're looking for weapons and large quantities of liquids that could be used as an explosive. I've gotten caught with an edible. They didn't care.
Had this been a biological female
i don’t think anyone wants Griner. no one respects traitors
VP Kamala Harris is slammed as a hypocrite for condemning Russia's 'wrongful detention' of cannabis smuggler Brittney Griner when SHE locked up a THOUSAND Californians for pot possession as state AG
Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the sentencing of WNBA star Brittney Griner to nine years in prison on smuggling charges on Thursday
Some on Twitter were quick to point out that as District Attorney, she prosecuted thousands of marijuana possession cases at a rate higher than her predecessor
Griner, 31, had claimed in Russian court that it was a mistake she brought a marijuana pen into the country
She added that she did not want to be used as a political pawn in the tension between Russia and US
The White House has been unable to negotiate a prisoner swap to bring Griner, a WNBA star, home
There is ongoing speculation she will be swapped for arms dealer Viktor Bout, the 'merchant of death'
Say, what would Griner's sentence be if she had done the same thing, but bringing it into the US?

US Customs and TSA are morons. Might be different if a Russian was coming in, but a US citizen could easily bring in cocaine or heroin from a foreign country. They wouldn't even care about weed.
Any US citizen arriving in Russia is amazingly scrutinized. Had a friend go pre-covid. It was a pain in the ass. Griner was retard level stupid trying to bring pot to another country and that being Russia. There's not much else to it.
When we start to talk about travel to foreign countries, marijuana is not the only problem that you have to worry about. If you go to some Middle East countries, your prescription drugs that are legal in most of the world may not be legal there. For example, you might have Valium to help you with mental health issues. Even if it is properly prescribed, you could find yourself under arrest and facing harsh penalties. Some countries like China, Iran, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia have the death penalty on the books for any drug infraction.
