Sen. Ben Cardin says that "hate" speech isn't protected by the 1st Amendment and that we should "learn from" Europe, where they arrest people for praying and memes
I guess it isn't all that surprising, but it is certainly disappointing that a United States senator doesn't have the foggiest idea about constitutional law and freedom of speech.
