I think it's easier to focus on core principles when you have younger children. Evolution has given us enhanced wisdom or at least enhanced discriminatory capacity with respect to potential benefits or harms during the child rearing years. As their children get older, parents are motivated to imagine the world that their children will have to grow up and make their way in. This is a biological safety valve that exists so that society doesn't become so extreme to kill or discourage raising the next generation.

This is ultimately why centralization is bad. It enforces uniformity upon all of the governed, even if this uniformity preaches the death of children and of society itself.

Are they still asking for masks in places? We rarely were "required" to wear a mask in the midwest. Airports kind of, but not really if you like beer. And doctors offices. Never wore one in public besides those two places. I learned to pretend to be deaf... lol. I'd just simply ignore anyone saying something like they didn't exist. Grocery store. Just nod and pretend to be a deaf mute person.

Usually at airports it was just TSA and I'd take it off. Same on the plane. One bitch FA hit me in the face on the plane though. I may have called her a cunt. I was sleeping and woke up quickly and lashed out. Fortunately didn't escalate. If it wasn't on a plane I'd have fucking thrown her into a wall. You don't fuck with my sleep. Yes, for example the Menlo Park public library.

The requirements around here were insane and rabidly enforced as part of The Cult. That's what made it fun to go in with a big group all unmasked.

Now I don't see any more actual requirements except perhaps in Berkeley. But there are still plenty of zombies wearing them, maybe 20%, and there are still signs up in many places encouraging mask idiocy.

TSA mostly didn't give a shit, they would tell me to put it on till I got through security, but they barely cared.
