I won't rule out the vaccine, but the athlete deaths are tricky in my opinion, especially if it's cardiac related. These guys and girl athletes are taking stuff (drugs) for peak performance. It might build muscle and give you energy, but it might also blow your heart up. Some of it legal, some illegal.

Hyper competitive people are batshit crazy, especially in sports. Haven't talked to him in a decade but knew a guy that played for the 49ers. Trust me when I say this, it's not that they're working harder, they're taking all sorts of shit. They have and alway will have stuff that skirts drug tests. Much of it not good for your heart, but makes you faster and stronger.

Pushing yourself to your physical limits while on some of the shit they take, even OTC is not intelligent. They shouldn't take the vaccine either.

They said that in 2021 the airline issued an "incapacitated pilot checklist" - what to do if the other pilot in the cabin dies during a flight. Around that time, they added a module to the simulator training that pilots have to refresh on to simulate one of the other pilots dying during the flight.

The pilots on the podcast said that never in their career prior to that had United given any guidance or training on this. In terms of "what can go wrong" it seems like a good thing to plan for, but the timing is suspicious.
