I like and hate Carl Icahn. I hate him because I would fear him, and I like him because I would fear him.
That's something I hate about the companies I've worked for, they don't want to make money apparently, they engage in all this bullshit, which makes me wonder who THEY work for. I've seen such stupid bullshit, and I'm just dumbfounded at whether society is this stupid, or is there an agenda at work?
It doesn't seem to me that MANY companies want to serve the public interest. If the public is paying them to survive, how the fuck can that be? Then I see Twitter is definitely infiltrated by the FIB to censor communication, I see Youtube do the same, Google censor search results, and Facebook. These are all actually government entities. They have to be, because they are shedding eyes, by being assholes.
And I realized I was working for the fucking government...
I fully believe in a true free speech platform, I think people will work it out eventually, but people are silenced. Are you rabidly against Islam? That's fine, if you talk long enough, you won't be - you'll find commonality although rest on disagreement. Social media mostly sucks.
BTW, I oppose the ignore feature here, but it's not my site, and I don't have the experience. Not listening to people you disagree with, well 1/2 the time will make you eternally wrong.
I'm predicting that the stupid, pointless war, in Ukraine will result in victory for Russia - there's 7 people here that can't stand to hear that. It's just bloodshed. No point in fighting a war you're going to lose AND I won't be surprised if the US declares "mission accomplished" and have 90% of the population believe it, they did it with Iraq and Afghanistan. I do not want to see the male Ukrainian population wiped out, but I expect that will be the result and the people that escaped to provoke war, will either be eternally refugees or return to be under the Russian government at least under thumb anyhow. It's stupid. All war is stupid.
