You're right that it doesn't work like that now, but you can still get the same behavior by clicking on the "unread comments" icon next to any thread:




The problem was that sometimes comments go missing for various reasons (like when CisTits asked me to delete all his comments). As it used to be, if the first unread comment for you was missing, you'd just get an error and couldn't see the thread at all by clicking the title or the "unread comments" icon. With the latest change, at least you can always get to a thread by clicking the title.

I have seen a rash of very bad infections lately. They do not respond to antibiotics well either.

One week I had three COII infections and had to do revision surgery on them. One case was in since 1997 with no problems. All were vaxed. Also had a several third molar post op infections which did not resolve well at all. One just went to the hospital with a massive ludwigs [bad infection] after an IM injection with 1gm. cephtriaxone. That usually kicks every infection but the patient was 3X worst the next day with airway compromise.

I cannot prove that these folks had vax related issues but they react as if they are uncontrolled diabetics instead of normal people. Life is getting complicated!!!! I do a lot of surgeries and this is unprecedented. After 50 years of practice this is beyond believable. I have never in 50 years experienced anything like this. IF any one else experiences these issues please get back to me.
I am wondering if there is something going on and would like confirmation from those doing lots of surgeries as I do.

Admittedly lower thirds are a problem but the usual course is normal and I am getting a large number of post-op problems in the last six months. I have investigated all possible nosocomial issues in the office and do not believe it is that.

We have taken out hundreds of thousands of teeth in 50 years, I have never referred to an OMFS [oral mouth and facial surgeon] for any reason, but lately have had three go into the hospital for ENT intervention.
