Then on Thursday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said he was asking a judge to reconsider the city’s “right to shelter” law. The Mayor explained, “We are now in court now, today, asking the judge to revisit this law to deal with this humanitarian crisis because, even when they decided to put in place that law, no one thought they would be dealing with a humanitarian crisis of this proportion.”

No. They thought they could spread some sweet tax money around to their buddies running fake charities supposedly helping immigrants. They never thought they’d ever actually have to DO anything. Now the City can be sued by migrants if it doesn’t immediately put them up someplace.

Nice job, geniuses.

In order to comply with its own right-to-shelter rules, which force the City to immediately find private rooms for illegal migrants, the City has been housing migrants in luxury hotels, City rec centers, and now public school gymnasiums, alarming parents.

“People are really concerned,” Brooklyn Councilman Ari Kagan said Friday night. “I got a lot of phone calls from concerned parents, from community leaders. Nobody, nobody expressed their support for this plan.”

Aides explained it was definitely NOT a reversal, nobody’s saying migrants aren’t welcome at public schools, no, never, they’re just “tweaking” the plan. There was nothing wrong whatsoever with their brilliant idea of housing a bunch of undocumented ILLEGAL, single, military-aged males in high-school gymnasiums. What could go wrong with that?

A group of migrants crossing the southern border took the time to talk to a reporter and hilarity ensued.

The migrants were very happy to be in America and seemed quite satisfied with the smooth entry process at Democrat President Joe Biden’s open border.

Although they did say they suffered during the 40 days it took to get to America.

The reporter asked, “How long did it take to get here?”

A migrant answered, “One month…40 days.”

The migrant said they took all forms of transportation, “Bus, walk, everything, we have suffered” during their 40-day journey to the promised land.

“Where are you going, which state?” the journalist asked.

One migrant said he planned to settle in New York.

Another said, Pennsylvania.

“You look very happy,” the journalist added.

The migrants smiled and gave a thumbs-up.

The journalist then asked them to chant “Let’s go Brandon,” which they did, unaware they were mocking Biden.

Officials claim the move to allow water to flow freely during the annual monsoon season, despite the border barrier being constructed of bars that would allow water to pass through.

They also claim the gates are open to allow for the migration of an endangered species of antelope.

However, the move is also letting an average of 1,400 migrants from as far away as China and Africa casually walk into the country daily.

Overwhelmed and outnumbered border agents and now practically helpless to stop them.

“We thought the agents were going to tell us something,” one Ecuadorean migrant said.

“But we just walked in.”
