Goddamn it, i want to keep google out of my life entirely, but now my employer uses gmail, so have to use it, and my employer put my first and last name on it: first.last@mycompany.com

To view my work calendar on my phone i have to add that account, so google knows my phone now too.

Even viewing a youtube video at work i noticed that they have me logged in to youtube (which google owns). if i log out, i can't read my email...

Google is the worst thing ever to happen to privacy.

Google as a search engine is most definitely left/main stream/woke/liberal oriented. No surprise but this observation is based on how my site was originally ranked and then how it got unranked.

Kari Lake got static for not standing during the pregame performance of "The Black National Anthem" during last Sunday's Super Bowl. The whole point of a national anthem is it's the NATION'S ANTHEM

Google and Meta over-hired thousands of employees who do 'fake work,'

Thousands of tech staffers at Meta and Google do "fake work" and were brought on to fulfill the "vanity metric" of hiring, according to the outspoken investor and tech veteran Keith Rabois.

Google, he continued, had intentionally over-hired engineers and tech talent to stop them from moving to other companies, a strategy he described as "pretty coherent." But, he added, that meant engineers had been happy to "be entitled, sit at their desks, and do nothing."

In the old days, that tactic would be prosecutable under restraint of trade.

Right, back when we had a functioning legal system.

Now they won't even prosecute Hunter Biden's open and well-documented corruption, selling US policy to the highest bidder.

CALLER:
Is this Pizza Hut?

GOOGLE:
No sir, it's Google Pizza.

CALLER:
I must have dialed a wrong number, sorry.

GOOGLE:
No sir, Google bought Pizza Hut last month.

CALLER:
OK. I would like to order a pizza.

GOOGLE:
Do you want your usual, sir?

CALLER:
My usual? You know me?

GOOGLE:
According to our caller ID data sheet, the last 12 times you called you ordered an extra-large pizza with three cheeses, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and meatballs on a thick crust.

CALLER:
Super! That’s what I’ll have.

GOOGLE:
May I suggest that this time you order a pizza with ricotta, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes and olives on a whole wheat gluten-free thin crust?

CALLER:
What? I don’t want a vegetarian pizza!

GOOGLE:
Your cholesterol is not good, sir.

CALLER:
How the hell do you know that?

GOOGLE:
Well, we cross-referenced your home phone number with your medical records. We have the result of your blood tests for the last 7 years.

CALLER:
Okay, but I do not want your rotten vegetarian pizza! I already take medication for my cholesterol.

GOOGLE:
Excuse me sir, but you have not taken your medication regularly. According to our database, you purchased only a box of 30 cholesterol tablets once at Lloyds Pharmacy, 4 months ago.

CALLER:
I bought more from another Pharmacy.

GOOGLE:
That doesn’t show on your credit card statement.

CALLER:
I paid in cash.

GOOGLE:
But you did not withdraw enough cash according to your bank statement.

CALLER:
I have other sources of cash.

GOOGLE:
That doesn’t show on your latest tax returns, unless you bought them using an undeclared income source, which is against the law!

CALLER:
WHAT THE HELL!

GOOGLE:
I'm sorry sir, we use such information only with the sole intention of helping you.

CALLER:
Enough already! I'm sick to death of Google, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and all the others. I'm going to an island without the internet, TV, where there is no phone service and no one to watch me or spy on me.

GOOGLE:
I understand sir, but you need to renew your passport first. It expired 6 weeks ago...

Welcome to the future

Easy to do since no one will connect the dots as if there was more than just Vince Foster committing suicide in the Clinton Crime Family's first term in the White House.

It's more direct than that. Google has government contracts. These are cover.

Google has probably ALWAYS been controlled by the intelligence agencies.

Larry Page was a classmate of mine at UM engineering school.

At the time Google started, I'm sure he was very naive. Maybe not anymore.

Ok how people how do we stop the google pop up sign in window on most all websites? I don't have a google account this is the most annoying privacy issue currently happening. I do know Google quietly sifts through all users emails and sells the info.
306   Patrick   2023 Jul 11, 5:26pm

@beershrine I never see that. Some possible reasons:

- I use Brave browser
- I have all Google domains blocked with https://obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html

@beershrine - Try using the brave web browser. I don't know how many times I've told people here to do that.

It eliminates most annoyances of the Internet. It's not perfect, but it's not like you can't fall back on Edge, Safari, Firefox, or whatever when you have a problem.

The company is basically the Eye of Sauron, having expanded into services far afield from search while assembling the greatest surveillance network the world has ever seen. Even the consumer profiles acquired by Facebook pale in comparison with those maintained by Google, which is collecting information about people 24/7, using more than 60 different observation platforms—the search engine of course, but also Google Wallet, Google Maps, Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Chrome, Google Docs, Android, YouTube, and on and on. Few Gmail users are aware that Google stores and analyzes every email they write, even the drafts they never send—as well as all the incoming email they receive from both Gmail and non-Gmail users.

According to Google’s privacy policy — to which you assent whenever you use a Google product, even when you haven’t been informed that you’re using a Google product — Google is entitled to share all the data it collects about you with almost anyone, including the federal government. But never with you. Your privacy is not the priority. Google’s privacy, however, is sacrosanct. ...

Fake news.

I'd like to believe that the DOJ will actually act against Google, but that is equivalent to the Democratic Party acting against the Democratic Party. Won't happen.

Maybe Google will change something cosmetic, that's all.

I've read that Google's ReCaptcha spyware does some analysis of your mouse movement into the box as well. Humans tend to move the mouse a certain way.

I don't think it can get all your browsing history, but what it could do is look up which sites you've recently been on which also some Google spyware installed. Which is quite a lot of all websites, maybe half. This is why Google gives out "free" access to, say, javascript libraries and css files for people to use on their sites. Each page load collects data about users without telling them.

I have all Google domains (that I know of) blocked on my laptop with Little Snitch:

https://obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html

One result of this was that when I hit a ReCaptcha and tried to turn off Little Snitch to use that ReCaptcha, it would always deny me access because I had no history of using sites with Google spyware. It figured anyone who hasn't used any Google-infested domains lately must not be human, lol. At least that's my best guess.

Technology has consequences, and these consequences are beginning to manifest as undetectable and untraceable manipulations of entire populations by an unholy alliance between corporations and government to not only monitor what we do, but invisibly influence knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, and behavior. Even for those who make a conscious effort to “live off the grid” and decline to use social media and smartphones, it’s getting to the point where it’s all but impossible to operate in day-to-day life without consenting to data harvesting by entities looking to control and profit off of us. It is Orwellian to the maximus.

We’re talking about power on a level unprecedented in human history—virtually untraceable and well beyond the scope of existing regulations and laws. The biomedical tyranny carried out under the auspices of the pandemic was just the next logical extreme. As progressive internet “hacktivist” Aaron Swartz once said about Big Tech, “They have no constitution to answer to. They’re not elected. They have no constituents or voters. All of the protections we’ve built up to protect against government tyranny don’t exist for corporate tyranny.”

https://newsdetectives.substack.com/p/new-internet-censorship-tool-unleashed

I can recall many people had high hopes that the “open source” business model (like WordPress) would lead to a better world.

Google has since abandoned their “don’t be evil” slogan to become one of the most fascist players on the digital stage, practicing censorship with no shame thirteen years later.

Maybe that’s why nobody is talking about Google’s new global internet censorship tool just introduced last week? ...

If your website or blog or Substack criticizes or questions topics like:

Covid-19 statistics

vaccines

the World Bank

Big Pharma

a one-world global government

climate change

then your website will be prevented from being found in Google search results.

So don't use Google.

Ever.

There's two types of people.

People that recognize that a platform engages in censorship, prevents you from talking to people, prevents you from talking about subjects, prevents you from openly discussing ideas, right or wrong and accepts it all. These are cattle.

And people that go to other sites.

I no longer give a shit about the cattle. For 3 decades we tried to help, they are hapless by their own choice. They won't listen, they continue to obey, they will NEVER object. I'm about to become something I never thought I would become, I'm going into the predator business. If these stupid assholes want to be stupid, maybe they should be taken advantage of.

This is what I believe happens to politicians who actually believed in helping the people but after a few years at the state or national capital, they get tired of the cattle supporting predators and even blocking the good guy's efforts. This is another reason for term limits.
