Yes the sex dries up after 50, but is that all you wanted a wife for? It's time for some strange trim. At that age if the wife suspects you're hitting something else, they don't get jealous unless you make it obviously known. Sometimes it brings them back in line, once they see you're still on your game. 90% of guys that leap into another woman ends up in a worse situation plus alimony.

I'm with 10# on this. Ultimately a failed relationship is a failure mostly on your end. It's not hard to do the basics to make a relationship happy. It's not 100%, but giving up for true men isn't an option. And if the woman gives up, that was on you for making a bad pick in that partner from the word go which is what most men do. They pick pussy over intelligence.
Look at the woman's father is what I tell buddies if they get serious with a chick. That's a tell tale sign of what you'll get.
Also their order in birth. First born are 90% the time going to be better for you. Avoid at all cost only child women. Those two out the gate and you shouldn't fall into the 50% divorce rate. And I'm almost 100% right on this. I have 4 SIL's that are 30-40. I know women well enough and observing them and their families, kids and relationships. If there are multiple daughters, the youngest would be the 2nd pick. Anything in-between run, don't walk from it. They're fucked up and did anything they could to get attention as a kid. As an adult that turns into fucking a bunch of other dudes and making bad decisions.
It sounds like a guy that has never been married or was divorced within the first month of getting married years ago wrote that.
Marriage is dedication, practice, patience and understanding. It's a commitment, something that is not even mentioned in the essay above.

If a guy was into chick for looks only, around 32 she losses her look n guy probably doesn't want to deal with drama without sexual attraction. While the girl is upset since she ain't getting much attention. It's double whammy for girl, loosing looks and guy being less horney to put up with stuff. Historically women were told to marry before 28 for that reason.

Who's truly happy over 50? Happiness is fleeting moment throughout your life. It's a feeling in the moment, memories you should cherish. Content and Happiness are not the same. People that are happy all the time, is a front, they are depressed when other's are not around. People you think are happy, can't stand to be alone. If you're going to steamroll though life with a big ole smile on your face, you are probably going to miss cues when you should have taken the situation more seriously.

So called psychology is a guilt trip imposed by narcissistic authority figures that makes you feel bad if you don't conform to artificial 'norms' that they have established more or less arbitrarily to maintain their authority status. Fuck them.
Most old people are boring because they only talk about their ailments, or the last time they spent eight hours with a picnic lunch and lawn chairs at the doctor's office because they didn't have a proper shit the previous day.
Just because I didn't throw my particular gene set into waring blender of the species doesn't particularly bother me. Those genes are out there, they just aren't all collected into me and never will be again, any way. I would dissolve inevitably through the generational stews. Maybe I didn't achieve some iota of maturity and insight by not raising my genetic narcissisms. It doesn't seem like most people get that much maturity and insight from the process, anyway, but it does tend to create better social cohesion, selflessness and community awareness, because keeping the rug rats safe and healthy requires a safe and healthy community.

There are two types of men in this world. Those that have sex with dolls and those that don’t. But every one of us will give an account to God of what we did.
It sucks that it is hard to find a good woman these days, and there is no reason to marry if God doesn’t provide a good wife for you. But God did create men and women for the purpose of having families. Imagine a world without both men and women?
When people get down on marriage what they are really down on is the fact that few people do it right. But if we didn’t try to be husbands, wives and fathers and mothers we would have a society worse than communist China. Even in China they understand the importance of marriage and they for the most part deny God.
So don’t get married if God doesn’t call you to, but don’t discourage others from doing what God tells them to do regarding marriage either. By the way Paul, the apostle, was single and glad for it. He felt it made him a better person/witness for Christ. So be glad with what you are (single or married) and be glad for what others are as well.

Here's my new persepective on things having lived a half-century: As a young guy, I was inordinately worried about getting laid and most especially female approval. That's not a good thing, though the drive to bang is of course natural.

"Happy Wife, Happy Life" is not simply not true. "Good Person, Good Life" is a better metric. That does not mean preening and grovelling before women and their wants all the time. It also doesn't mean you have to be an asshole.
I have had quite a few women - I wouldn't say I'm a Chad but I'm not Steve Erkel either - and time and experience has helped me see the funnel. It never gets as good as the first 6mos to 2 years if your lucky. After that, it's all work, no play, so no thanks. Balance must be restored, and only women can do that.
One of the reasons I suspect for the massive increase in divorce since women were "liberated" and pedistalized by society is that it's natural for women to have 2-5 year cycles where they get impregnated and supported by one guy, then move on to the next. Without firm laws and social control, we're going to have single moms and 50%+ divorce rates till the end of time. Only society can fix this, not men. BUT, in a way it's a blessing, because many old marriages were absolutely horrific for men, having to bear responsibilities to a shrew and have no option to ditch the witch.
For a free country, we spend a lot of time worried how others live. I don't give a damn if somebody has a heroin addiction, wants to dress like a woman, or worship their wife like a Pagan Idol to be appeased lest the Tempest come and wipe away their fields of invested labor. As long as it doesn't bother me.
