Wokeness is about a one-sided "Conversation" - or Conversion without Retort

Screwing around the internet, I came across "The Well of Loneliness", a book written by Marguerite Radclyffe Hall, a Lesbian trust fund baby, begging for the acceptance of "Inverts" (Lesbians; Homosexuals) with the usual whinging and moaning. She usually published under "Radclyffe" to avoid the very good rubric of men avoiding female authors which should be restored.

Her girlfriend was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Una_Vincenzo,_Lady_Troubridge, a middle aged convert to lesbianism who was her "Boston Marriage", the old euphemism for lesbians living together even though they usually had high enough income not to need roommates. BTW, most first wavers/suffragettes had "Boston Marriages". They all dressed in tailored suits with monocles.

The response to it was "The Sink of Solitude", a collection of Drawings - Memes if you will - mocking Hall and her not so subtle autobiographical/polemical work by placing a tomboyish woman on a cross. It gave Hall such a case of the vapors she stayed inside crying, literally the crying NPC meme, for a year.

I mention this because I thought - retort, pictures were memes, and the NPC butthurt. No wonder they want to ban any criticism or satire of their views as "Sexist, Racist, Homophobic"

Working on becoming something of a 19th Century Victorian Conservative, we would be so much better to look at what we believed in the era of Peak Development and the Maximum Strength of Western Civ, and re-adopting some or all of that ideology. Starting with "Do as you will in your own house, but if you bring it out in public, it's Moral Turptitude."

@AmericanKulak Can you find any of those drawings and post them here? A quick search turned up nothing.

I found them in a British Online Library - but it's down for maintenance now, 404 error. Shoulda screencapped. I'll take a gander again shortly.

Update: Thanks, YANDEX! Really getting suspicious of Brave Search now.

Not the whole book, but the cover:

That's Radclyffe, dressed as a man (which she did in real life like Flannel Shirters do today), on the cross, mocking her tone and tenor in her "We inverts (homosexuals) so oppressed!" book

Here is another of Stephensen's satires of the whole "muh poor invert"

Invert, I like it. Close to pervert.

I think that all of wokeness is motivated by resentment of the success of others. All of their arguments are mere rationalizations.

Proof of their own failures makes the woke feel bad, and this feeling drives them to tear down what the successful have built up. They want to impose their same limitations on others. They want to control others because they can't control themselves.

The solution is to encourage them to overcome their limitations, or where there is not possible, to accept them.

I agree, but would add another element, though perhaps secondary to resentment: Accept my kink/paraphilia/deviant behavior as normal and don't criticize it, in fact, encourage me in it, or you're a badperson(tm)

I see male homosexuality and similar deviance as just another kind of failure in life. So gays resent people who have not fallen for these kids of vices. Their psychological defense is to pretend that their chosen vice is somehow innate, so that it becomes illegitimate to criticize it.

Teen girls latched onto this same defense mechanism in being "trans", not so much because they enjoy being trans the way gay men enjoy sodomy, but because they enjoy having power over what other people can say.
