According to records reviewed by The AP, the company relies on advertising identification numbers, which Fog officials say are culled from popular cellphone apps such as Waze, Starbucks and hundreds of others that target ads based on a person’s movements and interests, according to police emails. That information is then sold to companies like Fog.
So no phone at all? How does that work?

I've got a phone that I add $25 to once a year on a program that doesn't exist anymore. As long as I do it before the anniversary date, it adds 250 minutes. I used about seven minutes last year calling someone telling them I was on the way and where I was. I was being charged 16 cents a minute but when the person at the phone place realized how little I used it he said we're only going to charge you five cents a minute and the minutes I had left exploded to 5,000. I keep it turned off all the time and the answering and call waiting functions are disabled. The first time I had them disable the the call waiting function, it took the girl over 30 minutes to get it disabled because she'd never done it before. One time the answering function turned itself back on and it took another 30 minutes to get it turned off again. I only take the phone with me when I go out of town.
There's nothing a cellphone can offer that I want.
What rights? All HIPPA did is drive a wedge between concerned family members, and frail ailing family members that can't speak for themselves. As a spouse you can't even get information from the Doctor or Hospital, but every pharmaceutical company in the world knows what's ailing her, and will bombard you with mailer adverts for the next 6 months.
I wonder how many license plate scanners are active around here in silicon valley.

Vaccine status reporting at the Doctor's is a self-disclosure. You are telling him what your vaccine status is, and he is recoding the ICD-10 code, without any 'proof' required. Maybe you got your shots at the pharmacy. What I wonder, and I am going into see my Doc in April for the first visit in 2 years, is whether to lie. Would it somehow be more prudent to have them think you are 'fully vaccinated for Covid'?

Not covid, but we did vaccinate for the proven ones.
The only thing she ever has is fevers and colds.
Make sure you trust the people you are working with.
This applies to a lot of things in our society today. The old guard is exposed for the garbage it is, and the longer people cling to it, the more miserable they will become. Whether it be healthcare, jobs, building real wealthy, government, etc. Adapt or die...
People bitch and don't do a thing.
This is also a good example of why you shouldn't carry everything with you all the time. She lost her Sentri card, which she had on her despite having no plans to cross the border. If you don't need it, don't take it. If it's for driving, leave it in your car.
