#israekiiranattack Long ago in the U.S. Navy, I learned the value of using psychology in war. Sometimes, you can score a victory by frightening an enemy rather than killing him or her. If you were off the coast of North Vietnam riding a U.S. Navy jet or patrol boat, your worst nightmare was for a North Vietnamese radar to get "a radar lock" on you. What followed at lightning speed was a SAM missile or artillery shell coming at you with devastating results. You had a few precious seconds to take evasive action.
The military radar detectors provided did not work well. Every pilot and patrol boat driver used an illegal radar detector used by drivers in the US who loved to drive fast and evade law enforcement detection. Such devices have the nickname of "fuzz busters." They worked quite well.
We would sometimes play games with our radar. At moments when we did not intend to attack an enemy or were out of range to do it, we would turn on our radar. The North Vietnamese on the other end would rapidly know we had "a radar lock" on them. It scared them, to say the least.
More details have come out about the Israeli attack on Iran yesterday. The Israeli Air Force officers who planned this attack were ingenious and very creative. They used a home-produced stand-off missile called The Sparrow. It was launched from an aircraft far away from Iran. Pilots and expensive aircraft were never at risk. The missiles launched had small warheads. The potential for serious casualties was avoided. The missiles had precision guidance systems.
Iran has a weak and obsolete air defense system. The object of the attack was to knock out Iranian air defense radars. Once the radars are knocked out, Israel could launch massive air attacks with impunity. What Israel did was to scare Iran. The message was sent that Israel could launch massive air attacks after knocking out air defense radars. Israel accomplished its objective. Iran got an ominous message.

The never ending wars in the Middle East demonstrate why it is so important to put God back in government here in the United States 😉

Yeah, if we only had more science we could go back to arresting people for walking or swimming at an empty beach during Flu Season again.

Or when walking to the restuarant counter to grab a bag of food without a mask spread a virus, but sitting down at a table in the restaurant for an hour didn't.

Back when Airlines filtering systems allowed 200 people to sit cheek to cheek on a plane for 5 hours, but huge plexiglass was put up everywhere because cashiers and customers spent a minute interacting at a counter.

If we stopped foreign aid or buying their oil, they wouldn't be able to afford, let alone manufacture bullets, let alone do reloads. These conflicts are the result of nearly 100 years of cold-war funding.

The best way to stop something is to insure that no one gets to contribute money towards it.

And almost every social metric from Murder to Addiction to Illegit Births to Marriage Rates is worse today than the 1950s-early 1960s. Alcoholism and DUIs might be down, but prescription and opiate drug abuse and overdoses more than made up for it.

While the country is probably more divided that any time since the Civil War. I guarantee if you asked Rs, Ds, and Independents in 1969 of all ages, economic levels, educational attainment, sex, etc: "Were the Founding Fathers heroes and should be taught in school as people worthy of imitation?" the answer would have been in the affirmative. If the Founding Generation of the current government being good or not is disputed, you can't have a united country, IMHO.

Our country is so fucked up right now, the proven correlation between single mothers and their kids attaining worse outcomes financially, mentally, education-wise, and criminal background across ALL classes (inc. professional mothers making near or over six figs) which has been consistent over the many decades it's been tracked, will start a huge fight with deniers.

The problem isn't whether we're religious or not, it's if we're rational or not.

Look at what you just wrote. We have empirical evidence that demonstrates worse overall stability of the nation if we have more single mothers. Don't have to go to the Bible and just "trust me, it's TRUE" anymore, we know.

So why aren't we acting upon it?

Lying to the population all the time doesn't work out well does it? If a reasonable explanation was made for why the US attacked Iraq instead of "weapons of mass destruction" or the stupid "they hate us for our freedom", that would have increased trust. If our government didn't make such a point to lie to use constantly about the sniffles for years, or about Russian Collusion, if Hillary Clinton wasn't such a damned liar that using deception to get people to support the bombing of Libya or the war in Syria - she would have been elected.

Here's my hypothesis. We don't have a problem with our country, we have a problem with our government, and having good, correct information, will expose that, so they inject nonsense into everything to hide behind it, even if it destroys the country.

This would explain censorship, the constant propaganda, the elevation of nonsense like transgendered children and so on, ignoring outcomes of single motherhood, the claims that "white men are the most dangerous" in our society, and on and on and on. We have real, dangerous criminals running this nation, and they don't want to be caught, at any cost. These criminals haven't been in complete control of the country for the last few years, it's been at least 25, 35 years, and yeah, maybe their predecessors were around in 1960 and killed Kennedy, but they weren't in COMPLETE control. They are now.
