If he goes he would be a damn fool. I would rather be put in a gulag than relent to that nonsense. At least if he steadfast, when the tribunals start, he can demand justice and his jailors hang. By accepting their reeducation ritual, he's buying into it all.

I'm old enough to recall young college students carrying the world's worst mass murderer Chairman Mao's "Little Red Book." The idiots would pull it out of their back pocket
and quote from it as if it were the Gospel. The fact that Mao murdered over 60 MILLION of his own people never seemed to faze them. They also, of course, defended the Soviet Union, often saying that the Soviets had the right idea, but there needs to be just a little tweaking.
Most of the people that are running this world (into the ground) are of this very same mindset.
