As Russian Forces Advance, Ukraine Struggles to Build New Defensive Lines

Russian forces are advancing in several places across the 600-mile frontline in Ukraine, straining Kiev’s ability to build rear fortifications. Some in the Ukrainian military fault the country’s leadership for not building stronger second and third-line defenses last year while Russian troops were stalled.

According to a dozen Ukrainian soldiers, government officials, and construction company directors who spoke with the Associated Press, Kiev is struggling to set up new defensive lines as its forces retreat. The officials cited several issues including decision-making last year, bureaucracy in doling out military contracts, and ammunition shortages.

A deputy infantry commander fighting near Avdiivka explained that the defensive line needed to be built last year during Ukraine’s offensive. “There was an absence of responsibility. … People didn’t understand that fortifications can save your life if you do it in advance,” he stated. “Many people thought we … wouldn’t need to prepare such lines. They didn’t expect a new Russian offensive.”

Last summer, at Washington’s insistence, Kiev launched a counteroffensive that failed to retake much territory due to deeply entrenched Russian defensive lines. Ukraine lost a significant number of troops and military equipment during the failed assault.
The AP notes that “Ukraine’s lack of adequate defensive lines has helped Russia make significant military gains, and constant enemy fire hinders building.”

In a Telegram post on Sunday, Kiev’s Commander in Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said the situation at the front had “escalated,” adding, “Trying to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line, the enemy has concentrated its main efforts in several directions, creating a significant advantage in forces and in means.”

You know, we have not been able to talk about the CIA coup in Ukraine for a decade on any of the social media sites. I've tried it on YouTube, and Twitter - it's not allowed. This is one of the few places you can do it, you can on SubStack as well.

IF people were allowed to have discussed this a DECADE ago, the war could have been prevented. 100's of thousands of people would be alive, if we were allowed to discuss this and put an end to it.

Jusus, all you do is talk about this CIA bullshit. "CIA did this and CIA did that". And never provide any proof.

I have provided proof, repeatedly. Here's another article off site, my article.

https://americandissident.substack.com/p/why-i-think-the-united-states-overthrew

That's my article. If you find a mistake, any error, I'd appreciate if you'd point it out so I can correct it. It's all hyperlinked, you can check any fact quickly.

I've done this over and over and over and over again. I finally got sick of doing it, even though I've memorized all the dates, have all the videos to pull out quickly. Afraid to know the CIA got a few hundred thousand people killed just so some assholes in our government could do some money laundering from taxpayers for a few years at the expense of a nation?

Oh, and @"Eric Holder" - do I win my prize?

When I confront you with specific information, here's what you'll do - you'll pretend I never said it. I have explained Ukraine dozens, maybe hundreds of times on this board. People say I'm repetitive, yep, I am, if you don't fucking listen, I have to repeat myself.

France has sent its first troops officially to Ukraine. They have been deployed in support of the Ukrainian 54th Independent Mechanized Brigade in Slavyansk. The French soldiers are drawn from France’s 3rd Infantry Regiment, which is one of the main elements of France’s Foreign Legion (Légion étrangère).

Funding to Ukraine over the last few years is barely a rounding error in the grand scheme of things with our ridiculous Federal budget. A lot of border wall can be built with that money for sure, but don’t pretend Ukraine funding and recycling mothballed weapons is bankrupting us.

Just watched this: Inside the Restricted Burn Zone of Lahaina - What’s It Like Now? 🇺🇸

"Over eight months ago, the deadliest fire in modern American history torched the city of Lahaina on the Hawaiian Island of Maui. So, what's it like now? Join local firefighter Jonny and me as we explore the restricted burn zone to better understand the situation from a local's perspective."

A local firefighter gives a tour of the Burn Zone, and explains the disastrous economic situation for the survivors, along with many that lost relatives, etc. FEMA has 'spent several $Billion' and yet, it's hard to see where, being that so little progress has been made. The question is asked: "The Federal Government has sent hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine, yet, we're being left with little help in order to cope with this disaster, and we're Americans."

Nobody is pretending that it's bankrupting us.

What we are NOT pretending is our government, OUR government won't do shit for this nation. We should overthrow it, it does not serve us.

Is that direct enough for you?

How much more do we need to peel your eyes back? Our government, is run by traitors. You refuse to see this. You are part of the problem if you pretend it's not traitors.

Instead you stupidly claim this is about money. We all know it's not, it's about treason.

Prime example of an attitude that has allowed our thoroughly corrupt government to ruin our country, and its currency.

We are now approaching a staggering $35 Trillion in official federal government debt. Over $1 Trillion per year is now required in order to pay the interest alone on that debt. Add to that another unimaginable $120 Trillion in off-budge obligations. We're just like the Titanic. We're still floating, but we are also taking on more and more water. Sooner or later, we're going to sink below the water line. What's left after that will be a lot of screaming people that will yield to panic and fear. That's when those that have orchestrated all of this will step in and take everything. You don't have to imagine what comes next because they have already told you. They will own everything, and you will own nothing, and, you will be happy; i.e., Communism on a global basis.

Contractors received big money to fortify and mine around Kharkiv. Problem: The money was taken but defenses not built.

And the vast majority of that debt is from our out of control entitlements and domestic spending, not our military budget or funds to Ukraine, Israel or Taiwan.

Trump sounds as bad as big spending Democrats when it comes to reforming things like Medicare and Social Security which are truly responsible for our government debt.

Land based they're no slouch against what is considered the 2nd best military in the world. We're to what, year 3 of this thing? I'd say they have an above average military, mostly due to the west dumping munitions into their laps. Russia was already embedded in Eastern Ukraine, so they had a head start as well. Ukraine will eventually have to wave the white flag at some point, but I don't think they lose the entirety of their land.

And there's corruption and fraud in every war, with every country. Hell, I bet a lot of that money got into Russia somehow. And some of it probably for sure is coming back to Biden and other Congress critters. Just wait until December. I think we see a record number of pardons as people are busy with holidays and BLM will probably get going again or Antifa after Biden looses.

This transition will be exponentially worse than the joke that was J6. Yet no one will get arrested this time around.

Russia is definitely making a big push for Kharkiv and Ukraine is struggling right now for sure.

Russia is also changing tactics using small squads on dirt bikes and Chinese golf carts because all of Russia's big armored columns were getting wiped out by Ukrainian artillery and cheap drones.

I don't believe Russia has enough troops to occupy a huge city like Kharkiv, so they are just trying to get their lines close enough to set up artillery so they can try to rubble another civilian center.

The latest military package will probably hold Ukraine over through the rest of the year and the US presidential election where everyone will reassess depending on who wins.

The sooner Ukraine concedes and hands over parts the sooner this useless bloodshed and destruction is over. The Western "leaders" with their continuous provocations and overthrows overplayed their hand and then sacrificed the Ukrainian populace while assfucking their taxpayers. Fuck these traitors!

While you can quibble about Putin eliding Russia’s part in the conflict, you must admit it’s maddening that no one in the West — certainly none of Biden, Blinken, or Nod — ever mentions a negotiated end to the Ukraine war. It’s almost like all the Western leaders made a secret pact never to suggest diplomacy.

The result is they look like cowards; stinking of fear, they ceaselessly worry they’re outmatched and outwitted by the Russians, and agonise that if they negotiate with Putin, he’ll somehow wind up getting the better deal. Talking won’t work! So fighting is the only option. But they’re even too scared to fight the Russians directly. So it’s the old game, ‘how about you and him fight?’

Let’s just give the Ukrainians some more missiles and let THEM fight the Russians.
