What you mean all of the thunderous booming sound tracks in the endless trailers on YouTube and Rumble didn't get people out to the theater?

This movie might had stood a chance, had they built the story around some modern day Boudica and tried to create its own lore.
But to ride on Mad Max's coat tails, and Mel Gibson of all people. The original Hollywood canceled outcast because of his conservative views. Then try to inject the gender bending nonsense into the story. It had no choice but to flop. There is no prize for mediocrity, and the prize for crap propaganda is even worse!

Trailer was sooo fucking woketarded, I knew it wasn't going to do well. But to absolutely bomb like this...nice!

I thought the trailer looked visually awful. If I cared about deserts, I would watch the news.

Mad Max is one of the dumbest concepts for a movie ever. Any iteration of it is pure shit. Including the original. I'm no movie junkie, but they're shit. It's just the CGI guys making a fuck ton of money on the contract. That trailer was 100% processed trash. I don't even care about the wokeness. It's shit acting and filming to rely on a fucking computer.

They needed lots and lots of gratuitous nudity and sex without woke crapola. No utterly boring lesbian drama. Homos are only frustrated, flamboyant villains you can throw popcorn at.

Otherwise, the standard formula of murderous psychos, insane vehicles and great orange fireballs and rock music holds true. I think I'll watch it eventually if it doesn't fall beneath half a star, or tomato, or whatever the idiot critic's arcane logos are these days.

It's not predictive programming, though, because the real murderous psychos work in anonymous labs, wear military uniforms, or lurk in in their vampire shadows in Switzerland. They are never out in the open without proxies. They might get hurt.

Nice extended metaphor for fecal impacted woke criticism

In the Sycophancy Hall of Fame, this delicious piece of credibility-selling will earn a wing all its own:

Despite more movies in the marketplace, we’re still feeling the aftermath of the strikes. How is that? Many aren’t in the habit of moviegoing yet[.]

Many aren’t in the habit of moviegoing yet.

How far up Hollywood’s ass does one have to be to come up with a sentence like that?

Previously, these gerbils blamed the faltering box office on a lack of wide releases caused by the strike. That was easily proved a lie by comparing the number of pre- and post-strike wide releases.

ass . . gerbils - gold Jerry, gold!

The original Mad Max movie would have been one of those cult classics that would have and could have stood on its own. It got ruined by making a franchise out of it, and doing that gawd awful "Thunderdome" movie with Tina Turner as the villain.
The sequels sullied it's name.

Mad Max had great classic story telling elements, it was a well tole tome. The rest of them, were strewn together Box office hit fodder, where visuals and cast was more important than the story line.
The ending of Mad Max where the tanker was just a tanker full of sand the whole time, was good stuff.
But one hole in the story, is when you go back and realize all of the gas everyone wasted trying to either capture or keep the tanker trailer.
Otherwise the post apocalyptic story where gas is the most sought after substance, took on content that stories like the Omega man and other's before it did not.

I played the Mad Max computer game. It was strange at first, but I got into it. Latching onto crazy, bald murderous psychos with a chain hook and dragging them around and upgrading the bodacious dune cars became oddly addictive.

They need a Mad Max where the goons discover zero point energy after reading a dusty old book by Nicholas Tesla. Fuck gasoline. Anti gravity is the way to go.

Anti gravity is the way to go.

When the rapture happens they will probably say that some benevolent group or race rescued us all using antigravity beam.
