Remember the last time Venezuela had an uprising after Maduro's last election. The military said they would help overthrow him. They got all of the major dissident players to reach out to them to aide them. The military then went and took them out/down, and the rebellion was crushed.
Last night the most prominent gang in Venezuela announced they would right the Maduro regime and help the people of Venezuela put the person they elected in power.

But I feel that is just another ploy to put down the uprising.
If the Maduro regime allowed the dissention to fester and grow organically. Then eventually they will get armed and form their own militias. If the gangs can get AK-47's then so can Rebels.
