Russia would like nothing more than capture a US or Ukrainian operative in flagranti and demonstrate to the world how evil the West can be (and maybe rightfully so).
Coincidentally(don't believe in them in these circumstances), the armed personnel being referenced above showed up to work un-armed that day. Wouldn't put it past the Kremlin, but motive is unclear at this time. And as I pointed out, many US intel/military people are saying it's Ukraine and CIA. What's their motivation to lie against their own country, and possibly former colleagues?
Obvious: cut your aid to these Jew ISIS Ukies because Jew Nazi Ukies was't working.
Could have been a double whammy. There were people in the theater Putin wanted killed. He just got 80% of the supposed vote. 20% of Russians apparently don’t like him as there was no one else officially against him.
He now looks like this great leader in solving the attack. Russian intelligence paid them to kill some dissidents. Run to Ukraine to give more credit to a war that is unpopular after nearing 3 years.
I don’t care about the ratios but Russians are still losing men and equipment. It’s not a good look regardless if they “won” in Ukraine. Now they can make the excuse to use more excessive force besides WWII type munitions. They have non nuke bombs that could obliterate all of Ukraine in days. Counter productive, but they could.
Even if Putin wanted to get rid of the other 20%, shooting at random in a concert hall is likely end up killing far more supporters than the opposition.
Which is weird to say about a KGB dictator...
You mean the older Bush, W's father.
Scott Ritter has just given his take on the Moscow terrorist attacks yesterday
He says there is a lot of evidence pointing towards Ukraine and the CIA being behind itRealScottRitter
Russian state media platform Tass (their version of PBS) ran a story yesterday wordily headlined, “Former US intelligence officer says was not let leave US to attend forum in St. Petersburg.” Yesterday, Biden critic Scott Ritter, a former US Marine Corps Intelligence Officer, a former UN weapons inspector, and a frequent Russia Today columnist, was intercepted by police in New York just after boarding a plane to St. Petersburg. The police pulled his passport.
Scott has constantly been a painful thorn in the Biden Administration’s paw over the last couple years, as a vocal critic of the Ukraine Proxy War. In March, for example, in the aftermath of the Crokus City Hall attack, Scott told Judge Napolitano, “We have become the terrorists. I hope people understand that. We are a terrorist nation.”
Yesterday, Biden critic Scott Ritter, a former US Marine Corps Intelligence Officer, a former UN weapons inspector, and a frequent Russia Today columnist, was intercepted by police in New York just after boarding a plane to St. Petersburg. The police pulled his passport.
“FBI raids New York home of former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter: 'Ongoing federal investigation’.” The sub-headline added, “The raid came a day after Ritter posted a photo of himself with independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.” So, be aware of the possibilities whenever you pose for selfies.
Ritter has been a thorn in the U.S. government’s paw ever since the former U.N. weapons inspector protested the Iraq War, and correctly predicted the U.S. would never find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He was right, and he won’t shut up about it. ...
Recently Ritter has turned his attention to the U.S. Proxy War in Ukraine, of which he has been a relentless public critic. His efforts have not gone unnoticed. Two months ago, FBI agents, citing vague directions from the U.S. State Department, stopped Ritter in the airport on his way to an economic conference in Russia and confiscated his passport, which has probably now been shredded and scattered from a military cargo plane somewhere over the lower Antilles. (We aren’t sure yet.)
Yesterday, the FBI raided Ritter’s modest home in Bethlehem, New York. It must thave been much less exciting for the agents than raiding Mar-a-Lago. As Fox noted, the raid came one day after Ritter met with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., although any connection between the two events remains murky. Your guess is as good as anyone else’s.
It’s not clear what they were looking for. The FBI won’t say, citing “ongoing investigation,” but Ritter told reporters the case involves alleged violations of FARA (the Foreign Agents Registration Act).
FARA is the same law the government invoked to prosecute General Mike Flynn during the Trump Administration (although General Flynn was only charged with ‘making false statements to FBI agents’). FARA is also the same law the government has not charged Hunter Biden with, even though the evidence is so clear that Hunter’s gun-violation judge even asked the government about potential FARA charges against President Cabbage’s son.
Presumably, FBI agents were looking for evidence in Scott’s home and the trunks of his cars to support some kind of FARA indictment.
WTF does Scott Ritter know these days to be cited as some sort of authority? He has been out of the military for decades. Believe it was the first Gulf War (30+ years ago!!) when he was a junior officer before he went to work with the anti-Semites and thugs at the United Nations as a weapons inspector.
Face it - Ritter is only popular because he has been shitting on America for decades and is pumped up and promoted by Islamists and Commies.
