Nice to have you here Nomograph. We have been looking for a democrat to debate with.
We never should have been in Afghanistan, "the graveyard of empires". What I and most people have a problem with is the way we left. It showed incompetence and weakness, reflecting on the Biden administration and Biden himself; incompetent and weak.

Trump broke his promise to end the "forever war" because he was afraid of looking weak. Biden did what was necessary and finished the job for him.

Sleepy Joe didn't have a lot of accomplishments, but ending the war was one of them. It was something the three previous presidents were unwilling to do.
His other major accomplishment was taking the necessary and unpopular steps needed to curtail inflation caused by years of low interest rates and free government money. Doing what is necessary to slow down inflation is always unpopular because it causes short-term pain. Volker did this in the 70s.

Bush started the war and later expanded it, but never ended it. Obama didn't end it during his eight years.
Trump broke his promise to end the war. Trump knew it would be messy and make him look bad, and caved to the defense industry lobby.
Biden ended the war, and no more Americans are being sent to Afghanistan to die. Ending a war is not a neat, clean process, but Biden kept his promise.
Gotta give Sleepy Joe credit where credit is due.
