CNN’s Sara Sidner brings up that Kamala has STILL not done an interview or taken a single question.

Then Robby Mook swoops in and says “it’s only been 2 weeks”, as if that were an acceptable amount of time to refuse talking to the media, and then quickly turns the conversation back to “orange man bad”.

The Dems/MSM are not going to be able to make this go away. Every day that passes that Kamala does not take questions, more pressure will build. Eventually, she is going to have to stand in front of reporters and take questions, and she will crumble.

And they know it.

The New York Times ran a surprisingly snarky story yesterday headlined, “Kamala Harris Isn’t Giving Interviews. Any Questions?” Apparently, Vice President Cackle has adopted President Cabbage’s groundhog strategy of basement campaigning. Vice President Groundhog! She pops up at a rally, sees her shadow, and scrambles back down into her underground burrow.

The Times peevishly, but gently, chided the Democrats’ carefully selected nominee for avoiding unscripted media events. In other words, it looks like it will be President Cabbage’s teleprompter-bound life, all over again:

In the nearly three weeks since President Biden withdrew his candidacy, catapulting Ms. Harris to the top of the Democratic ticket, the vice president has shown little eagerness to meet journalists in unscripted settings. She has not granted an interview or held a news conference. On Thursday, after a rally in Michigan, she held her first "gaggle" an impromptu Q.-and-A. session with reporters covering her campaign. It lasted 70 seconds.

So yesterday, President Trump held a news conference, meeting journalists in an unscripted setting at Mar-a-Lago, to highlight how his opponent does not hold news conferences. “She doesn’t know how to do a news conference; she’s not smart enough to do a news conference,” Trump repeated last night.

Pointing out the obvious, Trump noted that Kamala “won’t do interviews with friendly people because she can’t do better than Biden.” It is truly ironic that the Democrats selected a replacement nominee who is as at least as verbally impaired, albeit in a different way, than the candidate they already yeeted.

A conservative friend told me yesterday he thinks Kamala can hold her own in a debate, pointing to the 2019 primaries, in which Kamala apparently did okay. But I’m not so sure. If they thought Kamala could hold her own, they’d have her cackling in front of the cameras right now.

I suppose it’s possible the democrats are playing 4-D chess. They might be withholding Ms. Cackle to gin up this precise controversy, lowering her bar to the floor, before trotting her out to give a semi-conscious speech. Then the media can celebrate her wonderous performance. After all, that was the Biden Strategy, until it backfired.

But I doubt it. We won’t have to wait long to find out, though.

It takes many months to train an avatar. If Ms. Cackle is another actress (actor?) than she/he/it may not be up to speed yet. Don't trip over the cables, know your lines, and always know where the cameras are pointed? Much less don't reveal that you don't know the cashiered person's history or experiences, much less the subtleties of the political history. You can get by with Bozo clown act, like Biden Actor many times, or stroked out Fetterman, who is another clown actor, but there's no senility script for KamalaToe to fall back on.

So far, Harris and Walz levitate in fake polls on gusts of idiot wind from the Party’s unofficial public relations team of the The New York Times / MSNBC / CNN / NPR media matrix. But it’s already obvious that Veep Kamala Harris’ brain is just a laugh generator triggered by anything that sounds like an idea from the material world: the economy? Hee-haw. . . Ukraine? Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha. . . The border? Tee-hee. . . Transitioning minor children? Yuk-yuk-yukity-yuk. . . The Middle East? Cackle cackle. . . .

You are well aware, I’m sure, that the veep has yet to be exposed to a single unscripted interchange with anyone outside her promotional circle. It’s been kind of neat trick to behold, like watching a barking terrier walk around the stage on its hind legs — but after a while the audience might be thinking, What else can you show me?

You must not suppose this liminal moment in history between the defenestration of “Joe Biden” and the apparent selection of Harris & Walz is anything but a transient psychotic episode in American politics. The tell is that nobody in the Dem fold is inquiring as to how it happened, and especially who is behind it. Has the Dem Party become just Speaker emeritus Nancy Pelosi’s personal mafia? It appears that she was the one who delivered the black spot to “JB.” Do Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jefferies even matter in that supposed hierarchy, or is Mrs. Pelosi sole proprietor of the org now?

Nikki Haley made some interesting commentary on this. Focusing on non-issues like interview schedules and crowd size is a losing strategy. Making up fake conspiracies about Biden Bots and AI-generated crowd photos isn't the way to win elections.

What is her policy? Bullet point it. Should be easy enough, right? Abortion? Okay, what's she gonna do about it? We'll wait.

Silly question; isn't Nikki Haley that crazy Neo-Con Globalist warmongering puppet of the military industrial complex? Who cares what this compromised loser has to say?

When Harris dropped out of the 2020 Democratic Primary, the "I am that little girl" Kamala was polling at a whopping 1%, and that was for a very good reason; she is totally stupid and equally unlikeable and that is precisely why they are keeping her under lock and key.
17   Tenpoundbass   2024 Aug 14, 10:34am

That's because she's just a place holder. I still think the DNC is going close the DNC with someone besides Kamala. That is why they aren't pushing her to be in the spotlight.
It's even more likely now as it would be the only way to get rid of Waltz, which the DNC rules the day Kamala picked him. Wokism and progressive shit stirrer are hugely out of flavor with the Democrat voters. We're going to see the DNC and the media start winding it down and decouple from it. Kamala and Tim are a tether around the DNC neck.

The delegates already voted for her virtually.

That was set up for Biden and they just continued with that.

'Democracy' and all that.

Blaming Ohio even though Ohio changed their deadline to accommodate the Dems.

The gavel concludes the voting. Virtual schmirtual, these people do whatever in the hell they want.

Virtual my ass there's no precedence for that to happen let alone be immutable. People say that like its how it's always been done.

Let the Dems do it. It will disenfranchise a ton of them to not vote in the general. There's no winning at this point without obvious cheating. The RNC should already have boots on the ground in swing districts checking for election/voter fraud. All it takes is massive fraud in one populous district to swing an entire state.

There is 2020. But precedence doesn't matter, the parties can run themselves as they want.

Sorry. See above.

The DNC board can swap her out between the end of the convention and whatever deadlines the states have regarding this. But the delegates already voted and can't revote.

No it won't. They don't care as long as they got rid of Biden. They don't care who they voted for in the primaries.

99% of your average Dem are not even aware of this too, I bet.

Already planned for Philidelphia and Pittsburgh to swing PA. Already announced they will need extra days to count in those towns (see how many votes are needed and ship them in).

This made me 'gasp' too. I can tell that she was chewing gum.
