I remember him in the TV mini-series Amerika.

10 years after a Soviet conquest of America, he starts a resistance. Gets his ass killed. Sam Neill was the Soviet Commissar. Robert Urich the collaborator puppet. Oldie, but a goodie.

I remember him from movies more than music.
Someone said he was "devastated" by Janice Joplin dying.
I find that hard to believe.
