These losses are staggering and almost beyond comprehension. The true nightmare days of the Vietnam War were in 1968. On a bad week, some 500 American young men were killed. In general military casualty statistics, 3 people are wounded for each military person killed. This indicates that approximately 4,080 Russian soldiers were wounded on October 29. The wounded Russian soldiers do not get the quality of care that wounded American, Canadian, and European Union soldiers would receive. Some wounds will be minor. Sadly, many young men will be permanently disabled.
