More surprising progress. New York City may be waking from its long migrant-fueld nightmare. Yesterday, the UK Daily Mail ran a story headlined, “NYC to stop giving migrants FREE pre-paid cards worth $18,500 a year.” It seems so simple: Cut off the magnets, and the migrants will be pulled elsewhere.
The Daily Mail did not connect this dot, but I wonder how much New York’s newfound budgetary wisdom has to do with its rational expectation the Trump Administration will soon cut off the federal money spigot.
Plus, Mayor Adams has at times shown sparks of resistance to the Biden migrant scheme, and is under DOJ investigation. Maybe Mayor Adams’s legal problems may soon get some much-needed clarity.
In another exciting development, yesterday the Daily Mail ran another terrific immigration story headlined, “Judge slashes Biden administration policy for undocumented immigrants.”
Yesterday, a U.S. District Court in Texas struck down one of Biden’s most liberal immigration schemes. The so-called 'Keeping Families Together' program allowed illegal spouses and stepchildren of U.S. citizens to apply for a green card without first having to leave the country, creating a greased naturalization skid.
But federal judge Campbell Barker, a Trump appointee, ruled yesterday that the Biden Administration overstepped its authority and stretched the legal interpretation of relevant immigration law “past its breaking point.” No dice.
Progress.

It's fentanyl, not fentynol. And is unnecessary and even harms the message. She's getting deported not because she's some kind of criminal on top of violating immigration laws.
PS. Again, who writes this shit?
Yesterday, Fox ran a great story headlined, “Trump to appoint former ICE Director Tom Homan as next ‘border czar’: ‘nobody better at policing our borders’.” The Hindustan Times’ headline even included the warning, “pack your bags, everyone.”
A former police officer and INS agent, Homan was Trump’s ICE Director in 2017 and 2018. Before that, in 2013, he served as Obama’s Executive Associate Director of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations. Corporate media calls Homan a “hard liner” because of his strict immigration enforcement policies, including his controversial "zero tolerance" policy that media hysterically claimed “separated families.”
At the National Conservatism Conference in Washington earlier this year, Homan was quoted as follows: “you’ve got my word. Trump comes back in January, I’ll be in his heels coming back, and I will run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen.” Huzzah.
President Trump announced the pick late last night, and hysterically trolled corporate media by calling Homan the “Border Czar,” the same label that media fruitlessly and falsely claimed was never given to VP Harris...

Trump confirms plans to use military to deport migrants after declaring national emergency
President-elect Donald Trump confirmed Monday he would declare a “national emergency” to deport illegal migrants using “military assets” once he steps back into office early next year.
Trump made the statement on Truth Social, responding “TRUE!!!” to a post from Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton citing reports he would do so.
“GOOD NEWS: Reports are the incoming @RealDonaldTrump administration prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program,” Fitton wrote on the social media platform.
Trump has vowed to enact the largest deportation in history, starting when he takes the oath of office Jan. 20.
Any attempt to use active-duty troops would be subject to legal challenges, as the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 limits the federal government from using the military to enforce domestic policy.
The act does not prohibit the National Guard from serving in a law enforcement capacity.
An ICE source told The Post that the military is barred from performing domestic law enforcement duties without Congressional authorization.
Well, this one-word post from President Trump early this morning seems pretty huge:
It may have only been one word, but it included four exclamation marks. I can’t decided which is more encouraging, the prospect of using the military to help process millions of deportations, or the irony that Trump will declare a national state of emergency and use emergency executive authority to do it.
In other words: the Democrats are about to be hoisted on their “state of emergency” petard. Prepare for Democrats to suddenly discover a meaningful definition of the word, “emergency.”
On Saturday, Newsweek rounded up various rumors, ranging from the practical to the absurd, about how Trump might use the military to help end America’s immigration nightmare, in an article headlined, “Trump’s military threats alarm Democrats; GOP shrugs.”
Many folks think Trump will deploy the military on the border — something he tried to do in his first term, but was stymied by woke generals who came up with a new reason why it wouldn’t work every time Trump turned around. But, by all accounts, the Pentagon’s top brass should expect a few personnel changes shortly after Inauguration Day. On the more ridiculous end of the rumor spectrum, Newsweek quoted Democrats claiming Trump intends to invade Mexico. Hasta la burrito, amigo!
Thousands of Retired Officers, Veterans Are Volunteering for Unprecedented Deportation Effort
It’s bad news for illegal immigrants.
Newly appointed “Border Czar” Thomas Homan said “thousands” of retired border agents and military servicemen are volunteering to help with the incoming Trump administration’s planned mass deportation of illegals. ...
“I shut my phone off Friday night because I couldn’t handle the phone calls, and texts and emails from thousands of ICE agents and border patrol agents excited about the rumor I’m coming back,” said Homan, the former Immigration and Customs Enforcement acting director.
“But more important than that, thousands of retired agents, retired border patrol agents, retired military [want] to come in an volunteer to help this president secure the border and do the deportation operation,” Homan said.
