“These fundraisers are burnt. The damage that the 2024 campaign has done to the Democratic brand is almost unfathomable." “We’re going to audit everything. We’re going to audit the campaign." “We think they raised a billion and a half dollars. Okay, we know that Future Forward, the last we saw, was $900 million, so we can assume that they got to a billion before election. That’s two and a half freaking billion dollars." "Does anybody have any idea where that money? Well, I mean, I had some places I start looking."

Why is Kamala being called Madam President during the certification of election results?
The Twelfth Amendment since 1804 has provided that the vice president, as President of the Senate, receives the Electoral College votes, and then, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, opens the sealed votes. The Electoral Count Act of 1887 requires the votes to be counted during a joint session on January 6 following the meetings of the presidential electors.[1] The act also specifies that the president of the Senate presides over the session.[2]
