They're better fit for the EMT roll. I was carried out by a woman and dude when I couldn't eat or drink for 3 days due to a nasty, nasty flu. This was from my basement, blood all over as I fainted due to dehydration and cracked my head open.

I should have just gotten a ride to urgent care and gotten an IV to hydrate. Stupid mistake on my part. If I was alone I would have likely died. Kids heard me crash and checked on me. She(?) is right. Using her logic, white countries should remain white, as white people relate to white people better. And we should add more white athletes to the NBA, NFL, etc.

If my house is on fire or I'm having a medical emergency I really don't care if the firefighter or EMT looks like me, only that they know their job and can perform it well, under duress, in as rapid a fashion as possible.

And unless I've drunkenly set my house on fire while grilling or deep frying turkeys (for instance), chances are if I cannot evacuate, it's because of something outside of my control (being asleep for example). Blame the victim. Especially if he's male.

My gosh. LA, behold the man you should have elected as Mayor.

The Times minimized the most interesting part of its story, which also had the greatest potential metaphorical explanatory power: the rejected mayoral candidate directing his own hastily-assembled private firefighting force to save the neighborhood. But sadly, perhaps creating an even more meta metaphorical explanation, the Times sneered at Rick Caruso’s rousing, all-American, self-reliant story because he wasn’t diverse enough.

For the same reason that women do not belong in combat roles. The men will feel compelled to rescue them in a way they would not feel compelled about other firemen. Especially if there are some romantic entanglements. This puts lives at risk.

Ever since the playground, girls feel excluded from boy's games and try to get in. The boys instinctively know that the unity of their group depends on it's being all boys, so the boys make up excuses like "girls have cooties" to keep them out.

I read an interesting quote somewhere on Substack recently, to the effect that women must be unhappy in any functional society. The more women's resentments are catered to, the worse the society gets.

My wife is pretty nice generally, but the female tactics never wane. She makes up shit on the spot: impromptu, subjective 'rules' just to show she is in charge and can reign.

I would agree if you spend your time with their resentment spin, they will just make up more elaborate investments in resentment spin, so don't get caught up in it. It's a time and energy waster, though sometimes it's entertaining to watch them flummox somebody else with them.

I dunno. I think there are some roles they can have at the fire station.
