And so further along those lines, to help us all out the unemployed could be called "food"...
Since the unemployment rate is tracked by the number of people receiving unemployment benefits, if benefits were to be cut off, the "official" unemployment rate would drop to 1 or 2%. this would instantly solve the current employment crisis affecting out nation. The American Citizen employment rate would be at a all time high, let the good times roll.
Of course the people that are no longer on the unemployment rolls wouldn't cease to exist, no matter how much the government officially deny they exist. the brings up the question, what is a person called when they are no longer unemployed? (as defined by the official unemployment rate position) Do they join the growing welfare rolls? Are they non-citizens at this point?
