I want to know everything about the person who buys this at the asking price.
In the area I'm looking to buy in sellers started listing homes which unrealistic asking prices almost equal to the 2007 peak. Slowly they are reducing the prices but it would seem they are chasing the market down, as the homes that do sell are about 75-100k cheaper.

Just 19 comments and you get it. There are other people here with 2000+ comments and still don't get it.
This listing will turn into a short sale very soon.
Or at least trying to break even before realizing a huge loss.
Yah, it looks like it's listed at what they need to be able to sell. 6 percent of 700kish is around 40 grand.
Good luck, idiots.
listing price usually isn't arbitrary. It's based on recent comps.
if its a nice neighborhood they'll probably get close to that.

dinky room inside a prison gets built for $900K and no granite tops, Crazy stuff?
SAN QUENTIN, Calif. -- The federal court judge who stopped executions in California planned to tour the new death chamber at San Quentin State Prison Tuesday in what could be the first step towards the resumption of executions in the state.
The San Quentin death chamber that U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel will inspect was completed last year at a cost of $900,000. Five years ago he declared the old chamber was no good for the lethal injection process adopted more than a decade ago.
I like the description there, so I'll decode:
Realtor words - real meanings.
Immaculate Home - old house slowly falling apart.
Remodeled Kitchen w/ Granite - home depot kitchen cabinets and old granite counter tops.
Huge Skylite - leaking roof.
Both Bathrooms Remodeled - We used paint to cover all the scary things.
Mature Landscaping - some mexican finally cut the grass for $5.
