From the article: "The very principle that made America different, that made America a great beacon of light in history, is the the idea that 'all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights. America was intended to be a classless society, in which peoples' fundamental value as human beings was to be judged not by gender, or faith, or color of skin, or even their relative ability to spend money on luxury items, but by their fundamental worthiness and rights as citizens, sufficient in itself, because that value was given not by the State, but inalienably by God."

Unfortunately, science has shown that humans don't have and "fundamental dignity." We weren't "created" by "god." We're just another animal.

Nature is red in tooth and claw.

LOL, we don't have to be created by god to have fundamental dignity. Where did you find that "science has shown humans don't have dignity"?

FWIW, dignity stems from empathy towards other human beings and empathy has its origin in mirror neurons ;).

Sure, but humans are the highest evolved forms in nature and we have the ability and capacity that other animals don't have.

Well I guess if you can convince the top 0.1% of this...they don't seem to have these mirror neurons.
