Go to way back machines which carries snap shots in time of web pages..
in this case.. it doesnt matter if a website was closed and deleted recently.
snoop around and explore the archives... it pretty neat!
you can go back and forth between the archive calendars as long there is a snap shot take.. sometimes it works sometimes not..

you an also go the Dqnews.com archive across various years to pull up historical prices and create your own data points .. say 1996 to present..
this one is for 1997 http://archive.dqnews.com/AA1997BAY01.shtm
so it doesnt matter what data set you use.. the results are the same.
Over all the data provides what Robert Shiller has stated in his book Irrational exuberance v2... over time prices appreciate at the rate of inflation no more or less...
what will prices in Vegas be in say 2025 be... after a correction.. current prices 2012 + inflation.
Thanks. Yeah, I know about wayback. I was interested in data that comes AFTER the data shown on my attached image, not before. Good to know about the DQnews site, even if it doesn't have a pretty graph like the one above. ;-) Disheartening to see 20% increase for Bay Area Oct-11 thru Oct-12:

How is that even possible?
Like you, I am fairly certain it will all be back on track by 2025. I would just prefer if the "getting back on track" happened faster than that. :-/
Most of us here have seen this image (attached). Only problem is, it's nearly two years old now. I'd love to see updated data, but the site that maintained it (housingbubblebust.com) close down shop because they declared the bust was complete (and in many parts of the nation, that might be true, but those of us in some of the areas on this graph know otherwise).
Anybody know where to find updated data?
Thanks!
