All i did was simply point out this fact that both repubs and demos fail to be fiscally conservative in response to you pointing out the repubs are not fiscally conservative. Surveys I've seen of engineers lean towards "fiscally conservative, socially liberal". But I expect there's some variation between say mechanical engineers and people on the "softer side" as engineering has expanded some of them are nearly management majors. I think of Industrial Systems Engineers like that.
