Hmmm... Is this graph representing all homeowners wth mortgages? Or just those who are behind. If it is the former, them as I understand it 89% of mortgagees are over 6 mo. behind??

Yes--you are right. It's not 37% of all mortgages.
Or rent it out. 37% of mortgagors have not made a payment in more than two years. Some redfin.com listing is showing short sale for more than 1,000 days. It also shows us how serious shadow inventory is.
