IMO, local casinos mostly only make it easier for compulsive gamblers to get their fix. I still drive past a few casinos to get to Atlantic City just the same.

Right now in Mass it appears that we are getting close to legalizing casinos. We have state gambling with lotteries, keno and scratch tickets..there's some horse racing (we banned dog racing).
We were close a few years ago but now it appears that everything is falling into place.
I've been to a few in CT but I don't live near them.
Does anyone have any before/after stories about them?
Although I do not live directly around the cites that are being debated I am within about a 25 minute drive of them.
