"Maybe we should have a Jamie vs SQT no limit death match! "
With mud and bikinis?
Watching the small kids, I thought it was interesting to see that the little girls seemed to take it more seriously than the boys. The boys seemed to be there just because they wanted to be power rangers or something, whereas the girls (mostly) were paying more attention. It was fun to watch, anyway.
"I dont like to admit that Jamie exercises such control over my um existance. "
Oh?
"I’m kind of obsessive about exercise, so I run too. But I still can’t lose the last 10 pounds from having kids dammit! "
I went on the stress and starvation diet. Not fun at all but it worked. :-/
"Having children KILLED my metabolism."
It's really not fair, is it? It didn't happen to me until the second child, but it did happen.
Take an extra shot for me. I have no liquor or Nyquil in the house. Poor me.
I think I was born to be a construction worker or something. I actually love all that physical labor stuff. Digging holes, hammering things. Sounds like fun, Jack.
I'm watching As Good As It Gets, and here's a hilarious line from Nicholson's character: "I think people who talk in metaphors ought to shampoo my crotch." I never noticed that before.
"I remember laughing so much watching that movie that I missed a lot of lines."
I'm a sap. I mostly remember crying my way through it.
I haven't been watching the movie closely. Wouldn't want to risk Jack's wrath.
Admit it, we're boring you SQT.
But really, hope you're feeling better soon. Get some rest! Jack also needs rest, don't you, Jack?
Oh I just had to scroll way back to figure out what question you were talking about.
At least here in Pigalle we don't have to stare in horror at our mistakes before they are published.
Yes, I used to finish all my books after a week or two of sleep deprivation, then staying up all day and night drinking caffeine and by the time I finished I'd be so wired I couldn't sleep no matter what.
Amazingly my last two books I didn't do that.
Pigalle is forgiving that way. And hey, I was just trying to entertain you with the fluff. Sorry if it was a little TOO entertaining.
Were they better? Hmmm. I think everything I write is utter and complete garbage, so I'm probably not the person to ask.
But my editor was pretty complimentary (which is rare) on the first one I wrote without extreme sleep deprivation, and yeah, it's probably better for my having been well rested. it comes out in March. We shall see. Or not. I haven't gotten her feedback on the other one yet. but will soon.
I never look at the top when I'm posting. I actually think that's kind of an odd word. It makes me picture wee little sharp pointy things.
"You ARE the person to ask"
I'm the person to ask what?
I had no idea there were symposiums on trash culture. How interesting. Why was I not invited? :-P
Oh I just meant that I am a mostly un-talented writer. Not anything else by the garbage comment. Yes, I have to know whatever there is to know to write novels.
Ah, of course, anything called a "symposium" would have to take place on a university campus.

I suspect the Fed is behind much of the stories about reconsidering mortgage interest deduction. (If they were really serious about it, they would stop deductions on interest for second (and third…) homes. I think this is basically a made up story, trying to inject a little caution into potential homebuyers who have trouble reading the writing on the wall.
