LOL, I don’t even want to know what happens after the party!

_brings pinky to lips_

I don't have a good answer for the costume question. If it wouldn't freak out my conservative neighbors, I'd dress up as a vampire chick.

700   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 3:58pm

Not very creative, but...

701   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 3:59pm

I’d dress up as a vampire chick.

You mean a yellow fuzzy baby chicken vampire?

702   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:00pm

I was a vampire once, and a bride of dracula another time. Sadly that was the last time I dressed up, like 15 years ago, even though I love Halloween. I need to get a life.

703   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:01pm

"You mean a yellow fuzzy baby chicken vampire?"

Exactly.

704   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:02pm

If it bothers you to put your hand in it, you should find a new hobby.

705   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:05pm

I can imagine.

706   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:05pm

Once you have kids Halloween becomes more about finding the kids a costume. But sometimes it's fun if you think of a good one.

707   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:06pm

Huh? What did I do?

708   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:07pm

"Once you have kids Halloween becomes more about finding the kids a costume. But sometimes it’s fun if you think of a good one"

I get all obsessed and excert way too much energy trying to find the perfect costume. Then I make them pose for 500 photos and generally suck every last bit of joy out of the whole experience.

709   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:08pm

"I was talking to myself for a minute there… I thougt I was alone. The HORROR!"

Huh? What? When? Where? Did you venture into the heart of darkness?

710   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:09pm

I was talking to myself for a minute there… I thougt I was alone. The HORROR!

You mean that's....not....normal? (speaking to oneself that is)

711   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:09pm

"As a vampire should Jamie."

But of course.

712   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:11pm

My monsters are going to be a fairy and a cow.
The cow costume was the only one we could find in my son's size (he's not quite two) it's pretty darn cute actually.

713   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:11pm

"So what are the little monsters going to be this time around?"

My toddler is going to be a pink pig, and my 5-yr-old is going to be an evil-looking medieval knight. They both insisted on picking their own costumes, though my daugther wanted to be a cat but we had to go through this big search for the perfect cat costume which i bought on Ebay but which then didn't fit her so we had to scramble to find another costume and she likes pink pigs.

714   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:12pm

Cute! My daughter was a cow two years ago. That was her best costume ever.

715   Jamie   2005 Oct 27, 4:13pm

I'm being beckoned to bed. (hush you two!) Ciao, people. Behave!

716   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:13pm

My daughter is just now at the age of realizing that Halloween is all about acquiring mass amounts of candy. She's pretty psyched.

717   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:15pm

Night Jamie. I should go too. And I know Jack has an early wake up time.

718   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:17pm

Why all the shooshing?

I don't know. I thought we were being good little bloggers.

719   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:19pm

You normally get up at 4:30? That's inhuman. Why are you here? You need sleep man!

720   SQT15   2005 Oct 27, 4:24pm

I know, it's bloggers addiction. The curiosity about what else has been posted. You know about curiosity and the cat.......maybe Fuch's is one of us...

Ok. Really. I must go to bed.

Night Jack.

722   Peter P   2005 Oct 28, 8:08am

Where is everybody?

I am here. No sign of a thread bubble.

723   SQT15   2005 Oct 28, 8:21am

I am here. No sign of a thread bubble.

I knew you were lurking. :)

724   Jamie   2005 Oct 28, 12:42pm

Just call us The Society for the Preservation of Huh, AKA SPHUH.

725   SQT15   2005 Oct 28, 4:14pm

If a person brings so much courage into the world that the world must kill him to break him, so of course it kills him. The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those it cannot break it will kill. It kills the very good, the very gentle, and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these things the world will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.

727   SJ_jim   2005 Oct 28, 5:42pm

Or it will merely merrily maim you, if you are unlucky.

Surfer-X, you sound way depressed. My probably useless thoughts: the world is always better for having met with the brave and the good, even if for a very short time. The world may sometimes break them, but it doesn't kill them. They're eventually released from its crappy confines and go on to a place more deserving of their presence. Maybe that sounds trite, but I believe it's true.

729   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 1:35am

"How is “SPHUH” like home prices in prime areas?"

Sticky on the way down? All the good stuff is. :-P

730   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 1:37am

I can't believe I just defended a Marina home, after all that time enduring MP. But, it was on freaking Marina Blvd!

731   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 1:38am

"Rove’s teenie

Hallow weenie

costume

a scream-eeeee"

Jack, I'm speechless.

732   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 2:02am

Okay, I dare SQT to start a thread called SPHUH. No, just kidding. Sort of.

733   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 2:03am

"how long did you have to fixate on SPHUH before it, uh, came to you"

Ha. Ha. Actually, it was completely spontaneous. No fixating necessary.

734   surfer-x   2005 Oct 29, 2:58am

Wish I could take credit for that writing, but alas, it is Pappa's. Mr. Hemingway that is. Just love that quote. No Fuchs yet but came home to a call from someone in Pismo. I don't know anyone in Pismo, all my friends live in Morro Bay. So, I think the person that called has information or possibly a big orange cat that needs to come home.

735   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 5:08am

"So, I think the person that called has information or possibly a big orange cat that needs to come home."

Okay, what did they say?????

736   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 5:10am

"Wish I could take credit for that writing, but alas, it is Pappa’s. Mr. Hemingway that is."

Oh, sure, humiliate the English majors. So, I can identify The Big Lebowski quotes but not Hemingway. Sue me.

737   Jamie   2005 Oct 29, 5:13am

"You are SICK SICK SICK Jamie… "

You won't believe this, but I really just thought SPHUH sounded funny and didn't think about any lurid implications when I wrote it. Seems to me YOU are the sick one. Or maybe it still is me, if I'm obscene even when I don't mean to be...
