I am trying to find some good, honest, non-kool-aid-drinking real estate agents in the Bay Area
This is like chucking big slabs of raw meat into the tiger enclosure.
I will be checking this thread often.
you mean you want one that tells you it's not a good time to buy. then calls you later with a hot deal that you have to move on.
I'd buy a motor home park it on 22nd ave Oakland(near coast gaurd island) ride my bike to bart and use the gym for a shower. but most of the Va Jay Jay doesn't really go for that huh.

We've all got dreams...
$1M sale at 5% commission = $60,000 commission
$500K sale .... $30,0000 commission
Funniest thing a REA said to me.. " I dont touch RE unless its priced over $1M ".... thats some really potent KoolAid...
REA... the new 1%
REA... the new 1%
A lot of us used to be. Me included. Not so much anymore though.
I don't know many agents who would be turning down business right now.

East Bay Real Estate Agent and Blogger
yeah my dream is freedom. not "buying things I can't afford with money I don't have to impress people I don't even like." but hey, this is America. ;-)
Debt is Slavery!
We've put out the call: http://bayarearealestatetrends.com/2011/11/16/bay-area-real-estate-bloggers-wanted/
"We are looking for 5-10 more local real estate bloggers – preferably agents – who would like to join the team.
But… we’re picky.
If you already write a standard, cheesy, disingenuous, cheer-leading, kool-aide-infused, embarrassing blog like many realtors do and you think this is an opportunity for more exposure and some street cred, please don’t waste our time. You are not welcome.
In fact, no blogging experience is necessary. You don’t have to write well either. We’d enthusiastically embrace choppy, poorly-constructed integrity over eloquently-regurgitated industry drivel.
If you forward NAR and CAR press releases to your clients, you are not welcome.
We want free thinkers. Rogues. Lone-wolves. Agents who actually read the news and have opinions instead of just being confused. Agents who read economics blogs. Agents with integrity. Agents with battle-scars.
Agents who actually take the time to learn about their industry – the good, the bad, and the criminal.
If this is you – if your voice could help consumers in your community – please contact me at gregpfielding@gmail.com"
The only ones that don't lie are dead. Try the nearest cemetery.
C'mon.... there's a few good ones out there.
Ethical.
Successful.
Competent.
Choose two.
That's the truth. I sleep well on a cheap mattress.
Redfin, seriously, that's it.
Go on a few tours with the agents available in your area. I found an awesome agent.
I am trying to find some good, honest, non-kool-aid-drinking real estate agents in the Bay Area to collaborate on a project. We have a few so far, but need help in the South Bay, Napa, Marin, Solano, and could use one or two more on the Peninsula.
Googling real estate blogs is futile. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
