The last three impossible projects I successfully completed, I made sure I had a data model up front before any coding was done.
Once you start coding, if you did due diligence on your data model. You have to trust the model and it will be successful.
I just keep coding and wondering if it will actually work, but every time, the data model I envisioned succeeds to carry the project through, and the code just seems to fall into place.

To many people try to extrapolate processes through code, and routines rather than structures and models.

No matter the task at hand, you need to populate a model and persist it somewhere. The models are the appropriate container to hold all of the logic, not subroutines and methods.

I see a data model in everything. I visualize it before I even start any project.

LOL, my idiot boss two levels up has just reversed his own policy "everybody to work from home as much as possible" he introduced a week ago as a response to the virus scare back to "everybody sit in the office except for special circumstances and with explicit permission". Which never made any fucking sense in the first place since most of the people in the org are scattered around several SFBA offices, East Coast, UK, etc. and meet face-to-face only for Xmas lunch. I expect most of my co-workers to ignore this shit and work from home most of the time (I will for sure).
